Studio D'Artisan - "Ajiro Denim" Shirt - Kakishibu Dyed

I don't know how they keep surprising us with fabrics, but they do every time. This basket weave fabric is almost an optical illusion built to look like a traditional basket weaving using symmetrical strips of bamboo. Studio built this fabric from the ground up using proprietary weaving techniques to create this look. Don't worry though, there are no gaps in the fabric like there would be in a basket. After weaving, they hit it with a heavy rinse to bring all that texture to the surface. Studio D'Artisan has once again raised the bar on a shirt that we can't quite put words to. The good news is, the shirts do most of the talking for us. 

This particular variation used a combo of indigo and kakishibu - an ancient technique using persimmons to dye fabrics that dates as far back as the 13th century.

A variance of +/-.5" is within tolerance. 

Fit Notes: Most of our Japanese brands are considered to have a small fit. Tommy is wearing a 42 in the pictures and it fits pretty well. He wouldn't even consider going down once in this. The 42 was perfectly spaced for him. Please size up at least once from your normal size. Tommy is 5'10," 180lbs with a 40" chest.
