D1866S - 15oz Tokushima Selvedge Jeans Regular Straight - Natural Indigo OW

My, oh my. We've had what could be considered small glimpses at hank-dyed natural indigos in the shop over the past few years, but nothing quite like these. This one is so impressive that we have a hard time even putting it to words. After a 2 year hiatus, Studio has brought back this incredible natural indigo fabric in the fit we've really all been waiting for - the regular straight. It is iconically Japanese raw denim, meaning it has a vertical texture from the uneven, bumpy slub yarns used in production. It also has insane details throughout which would could easily spend hours exploring. The leather patch is stunning. The screen-printed pocket bags are amazing. The selvedge ticker is even gorgeous. These may be the most beautiful works of art we've ever carried in the shop. The painstaking process of natural hank-dyeing will hopefully be around forever, but those who know how to do it are getting more and more scarce. There might just be another 2-year hiatus, or these may never come back around again. Think hard on these. We know we are!

A variance of +/-.5" is within tolerance. 

Fit Notes: Most of our Japanese brands are known for fitting small. This pair is no different in the waist, and even with a roomier overall fit, we still recommend sizing up at least once. Shop owner Tommy is wearing a size 34 in these. That falls right in his comfort zone for the waist while fitting perfectly in the knee and leg opening. These have a nice, higher rise and plenty of room for negotiation. Tommy is 5'10," 170lbs with a 33-34" waist.
