DJ-101xs - Type 3s Denim Jacket - Stonewashed Selvedge
3sixteen - Type 3s Denim Jacket - Stonewashed Selvedge
We've been waiting on these to return for ages. We feel like we really dropped the ball last round when we were so focused on raw-only options. We've seen these things in the flesh, and they're very, very good. The fabric is a 12oz raw indigo selvedge denim that is woven exclusively for 3sixteen by Kuroki Mills in Okayama, Japan. They then worked with a local wash house in Los Angeles, CA to put the jacket through a multi-stage stonewash process to bring the character of the fabric out. They're some of the best washes we've seen thus far.
- 12oz indigo denim woven in Okayama, Japan
- 100% cotton 8oz twill pocketing
- Stonewashed treatment
- Zigzag stand-collar reinforcement stitching
- Gunmetal YKK shanks
- Crossed back yoke
- Made in USA
A variance of +/-.5" is within tolerance.
Fit Notes: Shop owner Tommy is wearing a size medium in this Type 3. Normally these fit really small too, but the medium was great. We'd say these run true to size. Tommy is 5'10," 165lbs, with a 40" chest. His typical North American size is a medium.

Lace Knit Collared Cardigan - Black
The blend of Pima cotton and Baby Alpaca on this sweater simply blows us away. It's so soft and luxurious, yet the long staple fibers make it strong with good bounce back for longevity. The big stand-out is the lace knit pattern. It hits us hard with '90s nostalgia vibes and can dress up any button-up combo. We really like the way it makes the Mauve Crosscut from this release pop. You can see little hints of the shirt through that lace pattern. We think it's incredible that 3sixteen is bringing a fabric generally reserved for undergarments or adornment into this gorgeous sweater. It breaks the rules, but it works and we can't get enough of pieces like that.
Camp Shirt - Navy Handloom HBT
This loosely woven Herringbone Twill fabric is next-level comfort. It's built to wear like a camp shirt but for us is easily stylable as an overshirt. It is also built to wear on warmer days. While the fabric has weight to it, the rinse and weave of the herringbone give it this airy, bouncy nature that clearly puts it in the category of vacation or loungewear. You can also dress it up easily for a nice dinner. One of the things we love about this piece is that the herringbone doesn't scream at you. It's more of a texture, than a pattern. You have to look closely to see the zigs and zags. This is easily one of the most versatile pieces of the season based on its ability to mix and match with every other piece in the lineup.

Crosscut Flannel - Mauve Slub
We're so used to seeing heavyweight Crosscut Flannels that we were quite blown back by the Spring Summer iteration. They've dropped the weight down to a manageable one for the 70° days. They're super comfy up front but still packed with texture due to the slub yarns they used for this production run. You'll notice the signature cross-back yolk and enamel buttons to accentuate the real star of this show - the fabric. Now comes the tough choice...slate or mauve?
