Oh myyyyy. This piece is so nice in person. You can feel that something special went into this cotton western upon first touch. After seeing the last round of westerns in person, we couldn't help ourselves. But the fabric is really the story here. The persimmon has become a very close friend of our shop over the past 5 years. Kakishibu is a tannin extracted from those persimmons in late August in Japan. It is used for all sorts of things including a hangover cure and wood lacquering, but for us, most notably to dye all sorts of gorgeous fabrics. Expect this gorgeous, rinsed fabric to age impeccably with time. These react really rad in UV rays. Imagine that they'll be sort of like a reverse raw indigo. They'll lighten in spots instead of darkening. We loved that they changed to the white pearl snaps for these, as well.

A variance of +/-.5" is within tolerance. 

Fit Notes: Most of our Japanese brands are considered to have a small fit. Tommy is wearing a 42 in the pictures and it fits pretty well. If he were going for a trimmer fit, he could probably size down to the 40 since it has a 41" chest. We recommend sizing up at least once from your traditional fit. Tommy is 5'10," 165lbs with a 40" chest, and wears a medium in North American tops.
