This piece is so nice in person. You can feel that something special went into this cotton western upon first touch. After seeing the last round of westerns in person, we couldn't help ourselves. But the fabric is really the story here. We learn something new about Japanese culture every time Studio drops a new line. This time they've used traditional Sumi Ink to dye this fabric to a beautiful, washed-out-looking dull grey. We knew Sumi ink was used for calligraphy in Japan. But apparently, it can take months to years to develop the wood blocks from which the Sumi ink is drawn once you add water. The attention to detail and willingness to spend so much time on the process is what draws us to Japanese production. When they take facets of their culture and add them to clothing, we lose our sh*t for it. We think the black snaps fit this shirt perfectly.

A variance of +/-.5" is within tolerance. 

Fit Notes: Most of our Japanese brands are considered to have a small fit. Tommy is wearing a 42 in the pictures and it fits pretty well. If he were going for a trimmer fit, he could probably size down to the 40 since it has a 41" chest. Tommy is 5'10," 165lbs with a 40" chest.
