It's pretty incredible to get two wonderful, "once-in-ten-years" kinds of collaborations in a matter of 8 months. This round is unequivocally one of the nicest pairs of the year. It has all of the details we look for on the level of customization we only dream of. This is the culmination of ten years of friendship between two of our most beloved brands. It all starts with the signature baby blue Benzak inseam. The next thing that catches our eye is the dual Ivory Coast and Japanese selvedge IDs. This is definitely a Japan Blue standard, but you'll also notice many of Benzak's "Special" pairs have dual-color IDs as well. You'll also see Benzaks signature coin pocket as well as many, many other details. The 16.5oz Cotton Monster Selvedge is a texture wonderland, and it speaks for itself.
Everything from the cotton cultivation to harvesting is done by hand; this benefits the cotton fibers as they are rarely damaged, creating a super-high quality base for this heavy-weight fabric. Because there are no pesticides used or no modification is applied, this type of cotton is considered ‘closest to original’.
This 16.5 oz. slubby ‘monster fabric’ is woven with a low tension, which creates a texture similar to hand-woven fabrics known for amazing fading results.

Fit Notes:
A modern tapered silhouette with a skinny* figure from knees to hems which makes your legs look sharper and more stylish. Even though it’s a skinny* model, there are rooms around thighs and thus the jeans are recommended for various types of people including a person with a larger body.
*Skinny is following JBJ's own description, because these can fit very tight when bought at true size.
Shop owner Tommy is wearing a size 31 in the images. That is his typical size, and it seems to work really well in the JBJ iteration of this pair (it was tight, but doable in the waist). Pay close attention to those size charts, and if all else fails...size up one size from what you think you are. 99% of our denim repairs are people buying one size too small. Tommy is 5'10," 162lbs with a 32-33" true waist measurement.
