IH-634-XHS - 25oz Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo
Iron Heart - 25oz Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo
Wow, wow, wow! Our first experience with Iron Heart's heaviest denim was a doozy. This stuff is not for the faint of heart. We've had these in the past and they always seem to trickle out of the shop to those brave enough to take on the challenge. These are the king of jeans. We've seen these beauties after a few years, and we must say there is nothing quite like it. This is the cream of the crop, the head honcho, the end-all-be-all of denim. Scope all the details below and check the leg breakers in action in the on-body pictures. With a rope-dyed indigo warp that will fade to perfection with ginormous creases and heavy roping, you're going to get some of the best fades of your life. These might seem stiff up front, but just keep in mind that with a little tender love and care that they will become soft and comfy.

Fit Notes: Shop owner Tommy is wearing a size 32 in these. That is one up from his standard Iron Heart Size. With something this heavy, we've found it's better to err on the side of extra room. They will stretch and they will get soft, but it doesn't change the fact that they will be warm and trap heat. You should go for measurements maybe a little bigger than your normal pair. If you're brave, temp fate. But don't tell us we didn't tell you so! Tommy is 5'10", 170lbs with between a 32-33" true waist.

Iron Heart
Even more than the UHF, the Ombré check flannel is the silhouette we look forward to every year. It's always a blend of selvedge, indigo, and some gorgeous color that pairs super nicely with the ombré check. They're the piece that combines the heritage looks and construction from Iron Heart with the contemporary-looking fabrics of 2023. We think the work shirt style suits these babies really nicely. We've always been partial to those black cats eye buttons. When you pull back the placket, you'll notice a crispy selvedge line running up the right side of the shirt. On the other side, you'll see the bright white care instructions printed on the inside of the pocket. What makes these stand out most of all on these babies is that they're going to fade with time. The indigo will become lighter revealing what will feel like a brand-new color combo. These things are the best of the best.

We've been waiting on these puppies for a minute. They pull inspiration from the collarless jacket liners you can find here and there at vintage shops. We've been looking for an updated, crisp, and super well-constructed version of "that" liner jacket for years...and the good people at Iron Heart have delivered just that. The diamond cut pattern is a nice change up from the standard hourglass quilt you normally see. It also fits quite a lot better. These are still built to be trim, and worn at the waist, but you can easily size up to get a true outerwear piece. They're overall one of the most unique and exciting things we've seen from Iron Heart in a while. We're extremely happy to have them.
