Alta CPO Shirt - Olive
Freenote - Alta CPO Shirt - Olive
The Alta has been good to us for years. It's a super utilitarian piece that floats somewhere between a shirt and a jacket. Most importantly, it has those ever-coveted hand warmer pockets. This season they've given us this beautiful wool blend fabric that was also used for the wells jacket. If that piece is a little too costumey for you, this is the more subtle version. That being said, there is nothing subtle about this fabric. The gorgeous flecky texture can be seen from a mile away.
- Wool blend twill fabric from Japan
- 1/4" single needle stitch detail
- Front welt pockets
- Custom horn buttons from Italy
- Satin lined sleeves and back yoke
- 70% wool 30% polyester exterior and Cotton blend sleeve liner
- Raw
- Sewn in USA
A variance of +/- .5" is within tolerance.
Fit Notes: Ryan is wearing a size small in the pictures. He's typically a small in North American brands. Freenote has an American cut that extends to this Alta, seeing that it's more of a shirt jack. You should have room to layer if you go with your true North American size, or if you size one down you'll get a more slimming fit. Shop owner Tommy wears a small in almost all Freenote garments. He's our standard fit model and weighs in at 5'10," 165lbs with a 40" chest measurement.

Hawaiian Shirt - Ice Tiger
The Hawaiian tiger shirt is forever going to be a Japanese icon. This proprietary fabric Freenote locked down seems to impress year after year. The mixture of the indigo-dyed linen and that gorgeous tiger print is truly perfect. It's such a rich, royal color of indigo and it gives the instant impression of a white tiger. They've finished this beauty off wtih mother of pearl buttons.
Alta CPO Plaid - Forest
The Alta has been good to us for years. It's a super utilitarian piece that floats somewhere between a shirt and a jacket. Most importantly, it has those ever-coveted hand warmer pockets. This season they've given us this beautiful wool blend fabric that was also used for that has unlimited color and texture. It has plaid and gorgeous fleck in between all those stripes. The gorgeous flecky texture can be seen from a mile away.
Benson Buffalo Plaid - Olive
We've been in love with the Benson since its launch. This limited edition buffalo plaid takes it to another level. We really dig the texture on this one. It has a nice hardy twill that shows up vertically in the texture. Not quite a kersey, but a nice little add to the overall piece. We've seen lots of buffalo plaids, but this one has a specific uniqueness. They've blown up the pattern to make it look a little more abstract.
Jepson Flannel - Tan
The Jepson is a known staple at this point, but their ability to make it look new with every release is pretty astonishing. We don't typically love traditional houndstooth, but this is a whole new and much-welcomed spin. It's a classic 2 pocket shirt that can be worn with almost anything. Although the pattern is busy, it's so small and so busy that it becomes almost a plain fabric. This shirt is absolutely perfect for layering and one of our favorite Freenote patterns of the season.
Midway Wool CPO Shirt - Red
The Midway CPO is inspired by the M42 HBT uniforms, one of the most commonly issued uniforms for American soldiers in World War II. The boxy fit and oversized pockets were practical necessities for functional wartime garments. Seen through the civilian lens, this is an intrinsically fashionable piece. The long breast pocket style lends extremely well to layering. The oversized buttons and heft of the wool make this an outerwear piece, but the warmth when worn close to the body can make it a fantastic second layer. This is one of our favorite new developments from Freenote in years. It's a gorgeous, gorgeous shirt made right in the heart of Los Angeles.
