After discovering the Hickory version of these, we couldn't help but to want the duck. Samurai's version of duck canvas is the pinnacle of this fabric. It's simply the best, and when it's hit with a little water...it gets even better. These things are absolutely bonkers. The double knee is a really wicked construction. It has cross hatch stitching similar to quilting. They also have these shallow pockets right above the knee for extra storage. Being a classic work pant, there are of course pockets galore. On top of that, the stitching work is super overconstructed to ensure longevity. Pair that with their signature dual-tone contrast stitching, UFO rivets, printed pocket bags, and custom woven labels and you've got hours of cool things to explore.

Fit Notes: Ryan is wearing a 32 in these, which seem to fit him perfectly. He's normally 30 in American brands and 29 in Japanese brands. These babies are fitting a little tight in the waist from the one-wash treatment. But overall, they have a straighter fit with plenty of room for activities. We would recommend sizing up at least once, but most likely twice on these. Shop owner Tommy is our standard fit model and wears a 33 in these. He is 5'10,' 165lbs with a 32-33" waist.

It's a super hardy, puffy denim that is sure to fade with massive honeycombs and whiskers. This is a competition winner, for sure. They've taken this hardy 25oz selvedge and added their iconic over-construction details. We really love when they use the gold-coated "Hinode" buttons. They match nicely with the gold & silver lamé selvedge ticker. This fabric is hardy enough to stand on its own! It could possibly be the last pair of selvedge denim you ever need to own. It's a perfect testament to their quarter-century of business.
