This denim lands right at the denim head vertex for us. 15.5oz denim with a slubby character has James Dant written all over it. They've also loosely woven this denim for an even more textured look. What gives it its wavy, flame-like appearance is that the indigo penetration is high in some spots and low in others. It's absolutely gorgeous in person. We can't get enough of the character both physically and optically. If you're looking for something that will fade both ways, this is the pair. You'll get a grid-like pattern that so many of us seek in our textured denim. In our opinion, this is the best of the non-special edition series this season. It feels like it deserves to be in its own annually renewing category to be honest. And the price is a steal.

Fit Notes: Andy is wearing a size 31 in the Super Guy Fit. This is his classic Super Guy fit. These are meant to be the slimmest fit so they're going to be harder to get on at first. There is a little more room allotted for the extra weight. Also, the buttons take a while to work in, but you can loosen them with a wooden dowel. Shop Owner Tommy would also wear a size 31 in these. He is our standard fit reference and is 5'10", 165lbs with a 32-33" waist.
