1950's Denim Coverall Jacket - One Wash
orSlow - 1950's Denim Coverall Jacket - One Wash
Pleased is an understatement when it comes to the fact that we're working with orSlow. They've been on our brand "bucket list" for a while, so when we had a chance to see the line live in New York a few years back...we knew it was only a matter of time. The brand is everything we love - vintage-inspired designs with a modern branding approach and quality at the forefront of their ethos. It's all in the name, as they're the antidote to modern fast fashion...they do things slowly!
This jacket is a 1950's coverall inspiration. It was an instant yes for us with all its flecky texture and copper buttons. The raglan sleeve, wrapped seams, and pockets all lend to the beautiful curvature of this piece. At 9oz, it's a great lightweight jacket to be worn with layers while "covering all." You'll notice little hints of branding throughout in all the right places including those spectacular copper buttons. This is a classic five-pocket - the fifth being an interior chest - with pen slots, flaps, and even open-style hand pockets for the storage trifecta.

Fit Notes: We bought this round a little conservatively as we weren't sure about sizing. Our guess was that everything would fit small, but a lot of the fits are vintage-inspired so they run roomier. This jacket definitely runs roomy. Tommy had no problem wearing the (2). He typically wears a medium in most things in the shop (check other brands' products for comparison). We think the (2) fits nicely, but he could potentially wear a (1) open. Tommy is 5'10," 162lbs with a 40" chest.
