4535 - Satin Sakajan Jacket - Green, Navy
Studio D'Artisan - Satin Sakajan Jacket - Green, Navy
We first scoped one of Studios Satin Sakajan jackets last year, and we've been obsessed ever since. These are very much a souvenir jacket in reference and in that there's a brand new one every year. They're unique like every Souvenir Jacket was. They pop up, they disappear, and people are left waiting for the next one. D'Artisans reversible Sakajan is a work of extraordinarily individual and intricate embroideries on both sides of the jacket. This year is somewhat of a Kaiju octopus taking over a city combined with indie and clipper touring Japan in a tank made of denim. The little embroideries on the front paint their own picture, as well.
We're simply blown away by the combination of colors and embroidery this year. The ribbing around the cuffs is even different for each side creating two completely different and unique jackets. This is really a bang for your buck souvenir jacket and done to Studio D'Artisan's strict standards.

Fit Notes: Most of our Japanese brands are considered to have a smaller fit than American brands. In this piece, Tommy is wearing a size 42 in pictures. In terms of length, this is the better fit. But for the intended fit of a souvenir jacket, the size 40 was a bit better. The raglan style sleeve allows for a bit more wiggle room. With a tucked-in tee and higher-waisted denim, you could probably wear your true size. For comfort's sake, you may want to size up once. Tommy is 5'10," 165lbs with a 40" chest.
