Studio D'Artisan - Noragi Sashiko Shirt - Blue. We have to admit, this was the first thing that drew us in with Studio D'Artisan. We saw this shirt and knew we needed to work with the brand. As you can probably tell, this isn't a Noragi Style shirt. The name derives from the days when people wore Kimonos as their everyday clothes. Clothing was very precious and was reused several times over, being repaired with fragments of other garments. In order to pay homage to this, Studio D'Artisan has used a blend of slub and wooden yarns to create beige-colored stitching to create a modern shirt version of this piece of history. They've also purposefully changed the style and direction of sashiko all overall in order to mimic the hand stitching of the time. This work-style shirt is built to be worn either close to the body or as an overshirt. It's soft and warm and a real show stopper overall. This is Studio at its finest right here.

Fit Notes: Most of our Japanese brands are considered to have a small fit. That being said, Tommy stuck to his true size of a 40, or medium for the pictures, and it fit bang on the money. These are built like most of our size medium shirts. If you're worried about a tighter fit, it's always smart to size up. Tommy is 5'10," 165lbs with a 40" chest.

RGT - 17oz - Cryptic Indigo x Stealth Selvedge - Stanton Fit.

Wow! The texture here is wild. We were obsessed with the 13.5oz when it came out, but now they've cranked it up. The 17oz is a hardy, crunchy denim with a ton of character and the potential to be the best-looking pair in your closet. We fully expect all the fading we've seen from the 13.5oz to be cranked up to 100 with this pair. Their cryptic denim is built on a basis of uneven yarns used to create what is referred to as slubby denim. When you step up to 17oz, that character is automatically that much chunkier. This round feels like a bit of a slower, low tension weave which makes them not so hard to get on at first. We think these will be quick to break in, and quick to show their character. Keep an eye out for the custom print on the pocket bags and that thick boy redline ticker on selvedge. If you liked our exclusive collaboration with RGT in the spring, then you're going to love this pair of Indigo x Stealth. These will fade with a gorgeous shadowy effect.

This is the best of the best of black denim in the industry.

We're also really digging the navy stitch from the half-lined pockets that will stay navy while the indigo fades all around it.
3sixteen - Type 3s Denim Jacket - Stonewashed Selvedge.

We've been waiting on these to return for ages. We feel like we really dropped the ball last round when we were so focused on raw-only options. We've seen these things in the flesh, and they're very, very good. The fabric is a 12oz raw indigo selvedge denim that is woven exclusively for 3sixteen by Kuroki Mills in Okayama, Japan. They then worked with a local wash house in Los Angeles, CA to put the jacket through a multi-stage stonewash process to bring the character of the fabric out. They're some of the best washes we've seen thus far.
3Sixteen - Stonewashed Indigo Selvedge - Classic Straight.

We've been waiting on these to return for ages. We feel like we really dropped the ball last round when we were so focused on raw-only options. We've seen these things in the flesh, and they're very, very good. It's a wonderful sub-option while you're breaking in other pairs, or it could just be the solo pair you wear until they look even better. The CS-101xs jean features a 12oz selvedge denim that is stonewashed for an evenly faded look. The stonewash gives the jean a soft, broken-in hand that's perfect for year-round wear.
