8830D - 8-Inch Classic Moc - Copper Rough & Tough
THE 8-INCH CLASSIC MOC
The 8-inch Classic Moc is arguably the most well-known boot in the Red Wing Heritage Collection. The commanding style was originally built as a hunting boot when it debuted in 1952, and its comfort and toughness quickly made it a favorite at job sites. Today, the boot is still made in Red Wing, Minnesota with the same commitment to craftsmanship and materials that made it a legend. The iconic Traction Tred rubber outsole and moc toe construction stand out as the signature features of the boot, and Puritan triple stitching and a Goodyear welt ensure lasting durability.
A new pair of Red Wing Heritage footwear should fit comfortably tight on the foot, with enough room to freely wiggle toes. As you wear the footwear, the full grain leather upper, insole, and cork midsole will mold to your feet, creating an increasingly personalized fit over time. We recommend trying on footwear in store to ensure proper fit.
NO. 23 LAST
- The no. 23 was created in the 1950s and is Red Wing’s most iconic last.
- Includes extra room in the forefoot and instep to fit a variety of foot shapes.

PROTECT YOUR INVESTMENT
Oil-tanned leather is made with minimal finishing materials, which creates a distinctive natural look and feel. Oil-Tanned leather is exceptionally durable and has been used to build countless Red Wing styles over the years. It is water, stain, and perspiration resistant. Actively maintaining leather is the most effective way to ensure integrity and longevity.
We suggest either Neatsfoot Oil for minimal color change or the All Natural Conditioner for heavy duty protection.
