Men's nylon light weight MA-1 "USS Mississippi" commemorative flight jacket. Made from 100 nylon flight satin, and with an orange polyester lining. The jacket also has two outside snap close front pockets, a left sleeve zippered pocket and an inside pocket. It is a comfortable fit, and should be ordered in the normal size.

The decorations include an American Eagle embroidery on the chest and a back embroidery commemorating the U.S.S. Mississippi with Eagle, USA shield, and Dragon. It also has a U.S. Navy patch on the right sleeve and a USA flag on the left.

USA service men have been buying custom tailored Souvenir Tour jackets since the late 40's when American G.I. s stationed in Japan purchased Baseball style jackets with embroidered Asian motifs. These early jackets were made of silk and called Sukajans. The tradition continues today.

This flight jacket is based on actual jackets worn by seamen in the early 80s. The U.S.S. Mississippi was in service from 1975 until 1997.
