Crosscut Flannel - Slate Slub
3Sixteen - Crosscut Flannel - Slate Slub
We're so used to seeing heavyweight Crosscut Flannels that we were quite blown back by the Spring Summer iteration. They've dropped the weight down to a manageable one for the 70° days. They're super comfy up front but still packed with texture due to the slub yarns they used for this production run. You'll notice the signature cross-back yolk and enamel buttons to accentuate the real star of this show - the fabric. Now comes the tough choice...slate or mauve?
- 100% cotton flannel woven in India
- Brushed exterior and interior
- Enamel coated fisheye metal buttons
- Made in India

A variance of +/-.5 is within tolerance.
Fit Notes: Shop owner Tommy is wearing a medium in the flannels. This is his typical size from nearly every brand, and 3sixteen almost always fits him in a medium. The crosscuts have always fit "true to size" for us with ample room in the body and sleeves without being boxy. 3sixteen considers them a slim fit and recommends sizing up once if you want a more relaxed fit. Tommy is 5'10," 170lbs with a 40" chest.

Knit T-Shirt - Mauve
This concept instantly got us jacked up. We're always looking for an alternative to a t-shirt for the spring/summer months. This one reminds us of shirts our pops wore in the '90s (they'd probably had them since the '80s.) These are a super soft and very sturdy due to that 70/30 cotton/linen blend. That linen also keeps them super breathable. This baby was knit by their partner factory in Peru which has a reputation for making some of the softest hand-feel fabrics on the market. Having a Peruvian cotton tee shirt is just insane to us. It's the epitome of incredible manufacturing. We personally love the addition of the v-insert on this baby for a little added accent. This mauve color is gonna be hard to top.
3sixteen just keeps proving that they're a brand built for Spring/Summer. Their ability to produce extremely unique silhouettes in an otherwise standard world of manufacturing is what keeps us coming back. This has to be the most impressive fabric of the season. The gauze fabric has a slubby swirl to it as we've never seen. It also has that airy, breathability that you look for in gauze. This is due to the loosely woven nature of the shirt. It's a stunning natural color that can be worn with a pair of slacks or a pair of board shorts. This shirt really does everything.

Their leisure shirt has done good by us in the past, and we think this new stripe appliqué cranks it up a notch. It has quite a hit of nostalgia straight out of the gates. It's crazy to us that this appliqué is a separate piece of fabric sewn onto the fabric prior to construction. That really requires an expert layer of placement and finishing.

The first time we got the Pima pocket tee in just black, it was gone overnight. We couldn't package them up and get them out quickly enough. And, it was for good reason. These things are silky smooth to the touch, and of course, that transfers to how they feel on body. Pima cotton is an incredible, versatile fabric and 3sixteen did it justice with this cut. They've now transferred the garment-dye process you know from the heavyweight tees to the Pima's. You will recognize these two colors as they were insanely popular a few years back. These were by far the two most popular garment dyes we've ever sold over the years. We've had some experience with how the color ages, and we can tell you that it gets even better with time.
Utilizing American grown Pima cotton knit into a luxuriously soft yet durable 160 GSM jersey, these t-shirts feature a slightly elongated and relaxed fit in comparison to their Heavyweight counterparts.
In comparison to their heavyweight jersey, the Pima tees have more drape and a softer, silkier hand. The tees also have a triple-needle coverstitched never-sag collar that stays tight around the neck over extended wears and washes.
