Studio D'Artisan - Boro "Sashiko Denim" Coverall - Indigo
We've been waiting for this one! It couldn't land at a more perfect time with Fall rapidly approaching. The rise of patched and repaired denim is welcomed by us. We find sashiko to truly be an art and when done right, like this piece it can look extremely refined. Traditionally, this style of repair was used in Japan to repair kimonos worn year-round for work. They would repair and repair until they could no longer be repaired. At that point, they would use the tattered fabric as the patches for the next Kimono. Studio once again pays homage to this beautiful art by combining the traditional look with modern techniques. We especially like that they used this faded red patchwork to highlight the repair work. These are full of character from the start, but we hope you continue to add to the wear and repair over the life of this incredible coverall.

Fit Notes: We were fully expecting these to fit small like the rest of Studio's lineup, but we were wrong. They have an oversized fit we really like. Tommy could wear a 38 for a slim fit but decided to fully lean into the oversized look by going with the 40. It was wonderfully spacious and comfy in this size. Tommy is 5'10," 180lbs with a 40" chest.
