Warehouse & Co. - Lot 4091 - USN Skivvy Shirt - Off White. We've had quite a run with Warehouse Tees in the last 18 months, so when we saw these skivvy shirts come through...we were all over it. The little rope accent you'll see throughout the pictures definitely sealed the deal. These shirts are part of the "Duck Digger" series and they're wonderfully produced. The underwear used by the US Navy was called "squib" as slang. Early squibs were white but eventually changed to colors for the navy as to not be confused with the Marines and Army. The little feature you'll notice on both sides of the hem is for the "Laundry Hall." When laundry is dried on deck, they would tie the ropes to the lines in order to prevent it from being blown off deck. This hole is of course reinforced like a button to keep its shape. It's such a wonderful little piece of history, even if you don't use the rope for daily wear or for hanging the shirts. This Navy's classic "Skib" T-shirt has been reproduced with details that are faithful to the original. This is a US NAVY original body woven using uneven yarn that is slightly thinner than the standard warehouse No. 12 and thicker than the Secohan T-shirt. To describe this cotton has been hard we find, not only for us but industry-wide. Some people call it slub. We were calling it texture at first, but ultimately our conversations with Warehouse kept bringing up one word - Shadow. When you put these shirts in the proper light, it makes perfect sense. The highs and lows in color can only truly be described as horizontal shadows in the cotton.

A variance of +/-.5" is within tolerance.

Fit Notes: Shop owner Tommy is wearing a 38 in the pictures. This normally would not be the case with Warehouse. We never recommend sticking with your true size or sizing down, but these shirts fit differently. They are for sure true to size. Tommy can wear a size 40 or 38 in these and be perfectly comfortable. We're also expecting less shrink in this shirt than the standard lot. We recommend paying close attention to those size charts if you want a nice fit (you can see the 38 has a 41" chest). If you don't mind a little more room, size up.  Tommy is 5'10," 165lbs with a 40" chest.

These shirts are not pre-rinsed. Approximate Shrinkage:
  • Length - 1-1.5"
  • Shoulder -.25-.5
  • Width -.25-.5"
  • Sleeve length - .25-.5"

We recommend a cold water wash and dry flat. Zach has washed this shirt and saw much less shrinkage than the Lot 4601. If you have any woes about sizing or the wash process in general, definitely size up to the next size.

*ROPES ARE NOT ATTACHED. THEY ARE PURPOSEFUL BUT COMPLETELY DETACHED. IF YOU'RE NOT BUYING THIS SHIRT BECAUSE OF THE STRINGS, PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION. THESE ARE SOME OF THE BEST TEES WAREHOUSE MAKES*

Apparel

Iron Heart - 13oz Military Serge Western Shirt - Brown.

The only thing that could've improved this serge western was a new color. This one was originally called Mocha Brown, which we think is very suitable. It's this rich color that suits this now iconic shirt. It used to be that we rarely saw green from Iron Heart, but now green is a staple. So, we've been super stoked to see khakis and browns rearing their pretty heads. You can't go wrong with the western cut, unless you don't size up, as it has some absolutely gorgeous details. We love the yokes and Permex buttons the most on these beauties.
Momotaro - 13oz - Year of the Rabbit Jeans - Narrow Taper.

We felt very lucky to be a part of this limited edition "Year of the Rabbit" release. These were right up our alley with special little touches throughout. They really went above and beyond with the theme, starting with the rabbit mosaic. You have to look close, but you'll see little guys in an arctic colorway forming the GTB stripes. The hair on the patch is a really nice touch as well (it's not rabbit). There's custom details interworked throughout, including printed "Year of the Rabbit" pocket bags and jacquard liner. The interior is bonkers. There is of course all of Momo's standard, but incredible details. But, the capper has to be the peaking Rabbit laser engraved on the front coin pocket. It was a total surprise to us, and a happy one at that. The fabric is also an icon. The 13oz really shines with this one-wash treatment and is full of micro hairs and texture. We're so excited to be one of only two stores in all of the US even offering this denim! It's a rare one, that's for sure - we were only allowed to buy 10 pairs.
Momotaro - 15.7oz - Zimbabwe Selvedge Custom Black Battle Stripes - Wide Straight.

We've been looking for something a little wider than the narrow taper, and we've found just that. This Wide Straight, also known as the classic straight is just the thing to break you out of your slim jeans. We started our initial run of Momotaro with 16oz denim due to the texture, but again and again, received requests for the 15.7oz. This is Momo's iconic "Vintage Label" denim. The lore about its fading potential is heard far and wide

For our initial run with this denim, we went with black battle stripes to make the denim a little more subtle. Due to requests, we had to bring back the black stripe in this 15.7oz fabric. We've seen fades on these down the line, and we can't bring ourselves to move on from the black. It'll be something we're always drawn to. The black will sluff off more naturally with the denim, and from what we now know, will stand out nicely against a heavily faded pair. This is crocking that makes perfect sense.

Momotaro - Indigo Dyed Sashiko Pants - Narrow Tapered.

These are truly gobsmacking. They knocked us off our feet. It's everything that gets us and all of you excited. We've had so many requests for Sashiko fabric in the last few months and this might just be the perfect pair. Our signature black battle stripes have been added to this pair making them a rarity in the denim hunter world. You'll also notice copper rivets as this is the standard 5-pocket model...it's just a basket weave fabric vs twill. They also piped the busted outseam to give them a super finished look when cuffed. We can't overstate how gorgeous these are and we hope they stick around long enough for you to snag a pair.

Jackman - Pima Highneck Sweater - 07 Black.

We've been on the hunt for a good turtle neck for years, and my goodness did we find it. When we tried this on, we forgot it was pima. We knew something was different about the fabric but didn't check the contents until this very moment when we started writing the copy. That's what we find when we're dealing with a fabric that is high in quality - you feel the difference right away. We've seen pima come down the line in many forms, but nothing this thick with the ability to have a stand-neck collar. It's our favorite cotton for a reason. It's luxurious and so soft to the skin. We think these are an incredible addition to any wardrobe needing a shake-up and a staple at the same time.

A knit-like high-neck shirt made from high-quality Spanish Pima cotton. Although the fabric is tightly packed, it is thinner than a sweatshirt and features the smoothness and softness of the thread, making it comfortable to wear. It is easy to match with various styles of outerwear and can be used as an inner layer in autumn and winter. The cotton material makes it difficult for static electricity to occur and can be washed at home.
