Lot 4601 - Slubby Cotton Pocket T-Shirt - Mustard
Warehouse & Co. - Lot 4601 - Slubby Cotton Pocket T-Shirt - Mustard
You guys continue to blow us away with your acceptance of this brand. The initial and then repeat business for Warehouse and especially these 4601 Tees has been amazing. I think the quality speaks for itself on these shadowy tees! Once you have one, you know what we're talking about. The only problem is, they're pretty limited so it's can take us quite some time to get them back in stock. We snagged some new colors and a few more sizes, but the words out now. People have been asking about them for weeks again. Honestly, they've been asking for more since the last round sold out.
To describe this cotton has been hard we find, not only for us but industry-wide. Some people call it slub. We were calling it texture at first, but ultimately our conversations with Warehouse kept bringing up one word - Shadow. When you put these shirts in the proper light, it makes perfect sense. The highs and lows in color can only truly be described as horizontal shadows in the cotton.
These shirts are known for their texture for a reason. Made on Vintage 60's Era sinker knitting machines, these puppies have no side seams. You will also notice a wrapped, ribbed reinforced collar that will stand up to the daily wear you'll throw at a t-shirt. It truly is unlike nearly anything else on the market. The single yarn knit creates an incredible striation that will age and mold uniquely as you wear the shirt. The hand feel is super soft but you get a texture similar to what we look for in our denim. Warehouse & Co makes one of the best tee shirts in the world.

We recommend a cold water wash and dry flat. If you have any woes about sizing or the wash process in general, definitely size up to the next size.
Fit Notes: Shop owner Tommy is wearing a size Large in the pictures. He decided to size up one to show how the larges would fit for this round. This is the size he buys typically for future shrinkage. You can see it is a bit rounder in the body and longer in the length. Tommy is 5'10," 170lbs with a 40" chest.

Apparel
Merz has been on our list for quite some time. Can you believe they've been around for 111 years? That's currently our oldest brand! They've stuck around because they do something quite incredible with basics. They stand behind the idea that basics can be something to get excited about. So they create the best and put their iconic branding on just the tags. We're so happy to introduce this German line to our store. In the same way we correlate Japanese production to meticulous attention to detail, we correlate German production to impeccable engineering. We hope you love these super-engineered basics!
Their henleys have the best buttons and clock in at at a super light weight that's built for the hottest summer days. These have the wonderful aesthetic of a visible horizontal loopwheeled line throughout. It's super subtle, so you'll have to look closely. They're so soft that these feel like a henley you've been wearing for years. An original flea market find from 1911 is the template for this "worker button-up shirt". Special attention is paid to the authentic processing of the neckline! The collar is turned over very finely by hand twice requiring incredible skill. This is exactly how the neckline of this shirt was originally processed 100 years ago since comfortable modern edging machines did not yet exist. In addition, the attached button placket made of cotton fabric and the original laundry buttons make this shirt a special eye-catcher.

This heavy loopwheeled tee is the epitome of an easy-going look thanks to its relaxed fit, the fabric’s slight slub structure, and the detailed neckline, which is an eye-catcher in its own right. This piece is special in many ways: the loopwheeled fabric is unique from the ground up, and the slight slub structure adds an even more casual look to it. And while this T-shirt is a serious matter with a weight of 13.4 oz. / 380 grams, it still feels soft, good, and comfortable in every moment! We compare it to the heaviest tee we've ever carried, but as if it's been power-washed to make it easy to wear.
Hawaiian Shirt - Ice Tiger
The Hawaiian tiger shirt is forever going to be a Japanese icon. This proprietary fabric Freenote locked down seems to impress year after year. The mixture of the indigo-dyed linen and that gorgeous tiger print is truly perfect. It's such a rich, royal color of indigo and it gives the instant impression of a white tiger. They've finished this beauty off wtih mother of pearl buttons.
The Alamo Shirt - Tiger Heron
The Alamo is a staple for us nearly every year. When they introduce new colors, we all collectively get a little giddy. This year's central color outlier color is this Tiger Heron. It's a wonderful shade of red that's not too in your face. It is kind of the classic red mechanic shirt color you just know when you see it. The corozo nut buttons always give the piece a nice pop of contrast and the construction never fails. The 1/8" single-needle stitching lends to this military-style silhouette. Luckily, this time you can grab the sturdy but soft cotton Alamo in a color that will hold up for a lifetime.
We really, really love the Dotsume pocket tee...but we know they're not for everyone. It takes a lot of effort, and just the right temperature to put on a tee that heavy. When we first laid our hands on the lighter-weight, USA cotton version of it we knew that it carried the same quality in construction and fit, but a more versatile fabric. This pigment process adds so much character to the shirt and is a special edition for SS23.
This version of the pocket T-shirt is made from cotton which is mainly produced in the cotton-growing area of the Mississippi River basin in the United States. Air spinning produces a cotton fluff with a length of 13 mm to 33 mm which then becomes yarn by centrifugal force. This creates a crisp texture. They also feature traditional details from the 1890s including the oversized pocket and W stitching. The flash gusset on the bottom of the pocket is a special specification that's meant to reduce sweat from moistening the inside of the pocket.
Made in Japan.
