Painters Pants Used - Indigo
orSlow - Painters Pants Used* - Indigo
Pleased is an understatement when it comes to the fact that we're working with orSlow. They've been on our brand "bucket list" for a while, so when we had a chance to see the line live in New York a few years back...we knew it was only a matter of time. The brand is everything we love - vintage-inspired designs with a modern branding approach and quality at the forefront of their ethos. It's all in the name, as they're the antidote to modern fast fashion...they do things slowly!
These bad boys were a shot at nostalgia for us. They bring us right back to the 90's. We went for the even heavier "used" version of the pant vs the "one wash." These have all of the classic features including that left hand loop for your hammer and a slot on the right for many other tools. The massive pockets and subtle arcuate only add to the wonderfully fun nature of these pants. And, they're soft as all get out. This is a true work-wear fit with enough room to do almost anything.

Fit Notes: We bought this round a little conservatively as we weren't sure about sizing. These are fitting more on the wide side as a straight cut, very roomy pant with a high rise. Tommy once again wore a 2 in these with a good fit in the waist. He would probably attempt to size down to the one to attempt to get a slightly trimmer fit and stretch them out. Tommy is normally a tag size 31 from most brands. He is 5'10," 162lbs with between a 32-33" waist.
*This isn't actually pre-worn. Used is a term to describe the wash process.

GG Sweat Crewneck - 269 Baby Pink
Jackman continues to impress us with every delivery. This round, we shifted gears into the world of mid-heavyweight sweats. This piece is as good of a sweatshirt as we've ever seen (and we don't say that lightly). The GG stands for grainy because this fabric has such character. They use two different yarn thicknesses in the knitting process in their factory in Fukui. The decorative yarn creates a whole heck of a lot of texture that you'll feel from the get-go. The crew neck features and extra long ribbing to mirror vintage sweaters of old. And, with all the amazing products we've carried over the years...we wouldn't be surprised if you're the most impressed with these. We're super stoked to have some Miami Vice, pastel colors for this season. They can be that pop to your otherwise earthy wardrobe.
This is a crewneck that uses domestic thick yarn and uses GG fleece that has both thickness and softness. The back is not brushed and can be worn for 3 seasons. The milling cutter (rib) also uses two threads to improve durability - a cover stitch over a grounding stitch. The back is also raglan to eliminate the sharpness of the shoulders.

Jackman continues to impress us with every delivery. This year, they've modified this garment to have a singular kangaroo pocket and overall better fit. A soft and thick sweat pullover parka made with thick domestic yarn. The solid color emphasizes the feeling of thickness, and the heathered color combines several colors of twisted yarn to create a well-balanced heathered feel. The body width and shoulder width are designed to be loose, and the sloping shoulders eliminate the feeling of tightness when the sleeves are lowered, giving you room from the upper arms to the cuffs. The kangaroo pocket has a gusset and a three-dimensional effect, and the hood has been improved so that it does not fall down. In addition, considering comfort when worn, the main parts are sewn with flat seamers to reduce roughness on the skin.
