Tanuki is another brand that's been on our radar for quite some time. The more modern takes on vintage classics were something we always appreciated. And the simplicity of the branding is really alluring to us. We love how they incorporate it in the design of the apparel. They have been one of the most pleasant brands to work with and we can't wait to keep this journey going with a brand that has an eye on the future while keeping one foot in the past. 

The 15oz IDxID Selvedge is known for two things: being loosely woven and fading quickly. The indigo-dyed warp and weft ensure a super dark monochromatic look up front that will fade with dramatic pops of electric blue. It has a tone of slubby character from the loom chatter created by slowing the machine down and making it weave the fabric loosely. This will allow you to wear this heavier denim for more seasons of the year. This is also that same pillowy Texas cotton used for the "ZETTO." You can expect the bumpy slubs to fade first and the back of the knees and thighs to follow shortly thereafter. This is one of Tanuki's most asked about pairs due to its fading potential.

Fit Notes: Shop owner Tommy is wearing a size 33 in the pictures, as the regular fit usually has some extra room up top. After the last round, he learned his lesson and went up once which was the right call. The 33 is closer to his true waist fit and could likely even wear a 34. These have plenty of room in the top block and a regular straight fit to the cuff. They're our favorite comfy fit from the brand.  Tommy is 5'10," 163lbs with a 33-34" waist depending on the rise.
