Naked & Famous - Strawberry Milk Selvedge - Super Guy.

We, like many, have been waiting for another pink weft selvedge since the launch of the Hanami a few years ago. We were silly enough to miss it last time, and we've been regretting it ever since. So, when its Strawberry Milk twin came ah-knocking, we were fully on board. The crazy part is...this fabric is even better. The milk protein ensures that with its soft, almost silk-like finish. This is truly one of the greatest things Naked & Famous has ever produced.

Naked & Famous - Golden Hour Selvedge - Super Guy.

Sometimes, it's nice to have a slub that doesn't show its face on the surface. That's half the joy of this denim. Not only is it easy to wear - the first half - but it also will reveal tons of character as it ages. The organic, uneven yarns in the fabric are reminiscent of handwoven yarns and the short slub texture will give you awesome vertical fades as the denim wears. There are is also a warm, "golden hour" tone to both the outer indigo and if you look close enough, streaks of tan vertical slub in the weft. The rope-dyed indigo will fade like any other pair of denim, but with a warm, rich tone!
Jackman - Dotsume Border T-Shirt - Brown

We have a real soft spot for border tees. We also have a soft spot for the brown/black color. The border tee is a bit different than some of the other fabrics even though it's made with the same USA cotton. This piece is knit in a way that creates a natural unevenness. It's likely to evolve and change throughout its life giving it a wonderful character overall. Its unevenness also helps it cling less to the skin (a major plus for the warmer months).

Jackman - Rib T-Shirt - 34 Beige.

After our initial order with the Rib T-Shirt, we've been patiently waiting for some to come back in stock. It was our fastest-selling Jackman piece to date. This round is made with the lighter, fluffier American cotton. The short ribbing at the cuffs and the signature "v-insert" at the collar make this thing reminiscent of the 80s. The slightly roomier fit makes it more contemporary. Overall, this shirt is quickly becoming a shop favorite.

This is a T-shirt shaped like a sweatshirt using rice cotton with a dry feeling and moderate thickness. The width of the body is very spacious, and the collar and cuffs have a classic atmosphere with a three-wrap binder specification with needle-pulling ribs. Production is carried out at Jackman's own factory in Fukui prefecture, using several types of sewing machines properly and under strict quality control.

Jackman - Pocket T-Shirt - 04 Kinari.

We really, really love the Dotsume pocket tee...but we know they're not for everyone. It takes a lot of effort, and just the right temperature to put on a tee that heavy. When we first laid our hands on the lighter weight, USA cotton version of it we knew that it carried the same quality in construction and fit, but a more versatile fabric. This Kinari is our favorite color from Jackman.

This version of the pocket T-shirt is made from cotton which is mainly produced in the cotton-growing area of the Mississippi River basin in the United States. Air spinning produces a cotton fluff with a length of 13 mm to 33 mm which then becomes yarn by centrifugal force. This creates a crisp texture. They also feature traditional details from the 1890s including the oversized pocket and W stitching. The flash gusset on the bottom of the pocket is a special specification that's meant to reduce sweat from moistening the inside of the pocket.

Jackman - Pocket LS T-Shirt - 171 Dark Navy

We're quickly realizing how majorly we messed up in not ordering more Jackman. We've been looking for a contemporary brand to fill this big hole we feel we've had in our lineup...and it was right in front of us. A company that takes heritage manufacturing techniques and turns them into shirts like this is everything we've ever wanted. Each time we put on a shirt, we think "why doesn't everyone do it like this?" There's no better feeling than that, and honestly, there might not be a better feeling than the tees from Jackman. These are a bit lighter and comfier than the heavy knotted Dotsume tees. The best we can compare them to is the fluffiness of a hemp tee.

These are pocket T-shirt made from USA Cotton, which is mainly produced in the cotton-growing area of the Mississippi River basin in the United States. Air spinning, which prepares fluff with a length of 13 mm to 33 mm into yarn by centrifugal force, creates a crisp texture. You'll also see the most traditional Baseball uniform pocket design. W stitching, the shape of the pocket mouth, and the larger size are all typical details from the 1890s, until they completely removed them. The gusset on the bottom of the pocket is a special specification that is meant to reduce sweat from moistening the inside of the pocket.

Jackman - Dotsume T-Shirt - 07 Black

If you're looking for the densest pocket tee on the market, here it is. We've had tees from some of the hardiest manufacturers out there, and they don't hold a candle to these Dotsume tees. They honestly blew us away. This is the type of tee shirt that makes you purge all the weaker, lower-quality versions from your closet. The ribbing on the pocket and the gusseted feature that help them hold their shape and lay more flat, give these an extra something that we all look for in a tee.

A T-shirt made from a fabric that has been knitted with a hanging knitting machine and packed to the utmost limit. It is a durable and solid fabric, and the unevenness of the fabric surface is also characteristic. The pockets are elaborately gusseted and the edges are reinforced with rib binders.

Iron Heart - 10oz Selvedge Denim Western Shirt - Indigo

We're all used to that 14oz weight, but we all know it comes a time of year when shedding 4oz can make all the difference on a hot day. This shirt features a normal weight warp and a lighter weight weft that gives it an almost chambray feel. After some wear and a few washes, it will soften even further. This is the color we got really excited about. It's a classic indigo with just a hint of grey tint. Add those sought-after black Permex snaps, and this is a must-have for every wardrobe.

Iron Heart - Japanese Horsehide Rider’s Jacket - Black (Tea-Core Dyed).

Well, if we were going to get into leathers from Iron Heart, we were always going to start with a bang. This absolutely gobsmackingly good leather rider's jacket has the kind of translucent shine you really only get from horsehide. This beauty is a black tea-core dye, meaning that as you wear it and that shine fades a bit, you'll start to see the natural browns of the leather poke through. We've seen this effect before, and trust us, it's mesmerizing. It's the type of antiquing everyone wants, but you can only get from the right kinds of leather. That all starts with this super soft chrome tanned horsehide from Himeji, the tanning capital of Japan. All the finishing touches that make this jacket iconic "Iron Heart" quality are listed below. The real story starts a few wears down the road when this thing starts to age to perfection.

Iron Heart - 18oz Vintage Selvedge Denim Slim Tapered Cut Jeans - Indigo.

We got our hands on a pair of the Vintage 18oz denim over two years ago now. We've been waiting for its reissue ever since. There's something simply magical about this denim that you have to see and feel and person to understand. It's made by the legendary Shinya denim which is famed for its vintage style denim production. They've taken the old style methods of manufacturing and added their modern, technical details. Expect this denim to fade both horizontally and vertically for a more "vintage" look.

Freenote - Calico S/S Shirt - Turquoise.

This beauty reminded us so much of a shirt Freenote had done in the past that we kept kicking ourselves for missing. The beautiful turquoise mixed with the red and blue is eternally classic. This fabric is very lightweight making it perfect for these super hot summer days. We don't have exact numbers, but we would guess somewhere around 5oz. The plunging pockets and diamond snaps give this a nice Western twist. They're virtually gone on Freenote's website, as it seems all the S/S are this season. So if you want it, grab it. We won't be able to get a restock.
Freenote - Hawaiian Shirt - Blue Dragon.

The last round of Hawaiians didn't make it very far! Luckily though, we have another round on deck. This time, we're working with a dragon pattern. The high-contrast orange and blue color palette couldn't go any better together. Dobby is a perfect fabric for summer wear. It lends to this Hawaiian shirt inspired by those made of recycled Kimono fabric in the past. It has subtle details like the Freenote pearl fisheye buttons and 1/8" double needle stitching throughout for sleek strength. These babies are moving fast all over the interwebs.

Benzak - 11oz Tapered Military Selvedge Chino - Indigo

We had to double down on the 11oz military selvedge. There's something about a plain white selvedge line that resonates with us. It must be the vintage military inspiration from which this fabric was designed. It has a bit of sheen to it that gets knocked down after break-in which, let's be honest, won't take long with a fabric this soft. The blue is a nice bright color best compared to petrol. The fit is also pretty great on these. Nice and tapered but not too slim in the top block. Overall, we think this is a perfect addition to a denim head's wardrobe for those hot summer months.
Benzak - 11oz Military Selvedge Denim Overshirt - Indigo.

The last round of these in Military Green went so quickly we barely had time to ogle it while it was at the shop. The cut and fabric were too damn good to deny for most. It's the power of the fabric story. This time, they've gone with an incredible 11oz denim fabric built to mimic military denim. It has a sheen that wears off quickly and lands on the petrol side of the indigo spectrum. We find that we love Benzak more and more with each piece that arrives. They do everything right. The fits are always spectacular. And, they pay attention to the details in a way that we look for in brands. This shirt/jacket style overshirt is the next one to knock your socks off.

Studio D'Artisan - Loopwheel Cotton Tee Shirt - Emerald.

When we saw that Studio made tee shirts, we couldn't say no. This emerald color is a beautiful pop of color that we need to brighten up our Summer. We knew they would be made to the highest quality standard with all those wonderful little artisan details. The 9913 is a loopwheel style with the craziest armpit seems, unlike anything we've seen in the past. The construction is pretty next level.
Studio D'Artisan - USA Cotton Tee Shirt - Pink.

When we saw that Studio made tee shirts, we couldn't say no. This powder color pink is simply gorgeous. Not too much, not too little. And, we knew they would be made to the highest quality standard with all those wonderful little artisan details. This is a classic side seam shirt with a fluffy American cotton. the tag at the hem ensures that you know where the cotton was procure
Studio D'Artisan - Noragi Sashiko Shirt - Blue.

We have to admit, this was the first thing that drew us in with Studio D'Artisan. We saw this shirt and knew we needed to work with the brand. As you can probably tell, this isn't a Noragi Style shirt. The name derives from the days when people wore Kimonos as their everyday clothes. Clothing was very precious and was reused several times over, being repaired with fragments of other garments. In order to pay homage to this, Studio D'Artisan has used a blend of slub and wooden yarns to create beige-colored stitching to create a modern shirt version of this piece of history. They've also purposefully changed the style and direction of sashiko all overall in order to mimic the hand stitching of the time. This work-style shirt is built to be worn either close to the body or as an overshirt. It's soft and warm and a real show stopper overall. This is Studio at its finest right here.

Studio D'Artisan - Satin Sakajan Jacket - Green, Navy.

We first scoped one of Studios Satin Sakajan jackets last year, and we've been obsessed ever since. These are very much a souvenir jacket in reference and in that there's a brand new one every year. They're unique like every Souvenir Jacket was. They pop up, they disappear, and people are left waiting for the next one. D'Artisans reversible Sukajan is a work of extraordinarily individual and intricate embroideries on both sides of the jacket. This year is somewhat of a Kaiju octopus taking over a city combined with indie and clipper touring Japan in a tank made of denim. The little embroideries on the front paint their own picture, as well.

We're simply blown away by the combination of colors and embroidery this year. The ribbing around the cuffs is even different for each side creating two completely different and unique jackets. This is really a bang for your buck souvenir jacket and done to Studio D'Artisan's strict standards.

3Sixteen - Crosscut Western - Stonewashed Denim.

We're so used to seeing the crosscut flannel in a heavy-duty flannel. This time, they've hit us with an absolutely gorgeous stonewash that truly turns this 10oz Japanese selvedge from a "stiff break-in" to an "everyday wearer". Inspired by Wrangler of old, it has all the classic details of the crosscut with the traditional styling of a vintage western. You'll notice roping on all the finished seams and classic pearl snaps. The crosshatch back and unique chest pockets are the Crosscut details you've grown to love. This is one for the ages.
Iron Heart - 10oz Selvedge Denim Western Shirt - Indigo Overdyed Black.

We're all used to that 14oz weight, but we all know it comes a time of year when shedding 4oz can make all the difference on a hot day. The overdye makes this piece feel even lighter, as it acts as a wash. This one is also a reactive dye, meaning unlike the other black overdyes, it will hold its stealthy look for much longer. You shouldn't expect the same fading from this lightweight denim shirt as you do its heavier counterparts.

Made in Japan.
Iron Heart - 5oz Bowling Shirt - Red.

Wow! We were impressed by these in pre-booking but in person, the fabric blew us away. Apparently, it was the same for Iron Heart, because they've already sold completely through their stock. So these might just be some of the last on the market. The fabric is super lightweight and flowy. This lends to the roomier bowler style with they went with. It has an open-style collar and a lower level of construction for comfort. This is something new and unique to the Iron Heart lineup, and probably why it's moving so quickly.

Iron Heart - 9oz Mercerised Selvedge Cotton Slim Tapered Chinos - Olive.

Well, well, well. A pair of pants from Iron Heart, and it's not heavy-duty indigo. We're living in the fact that just about everyone is looking for pants in different fabrics and colors right now. It's a really wonderful time for style, and these pants can help add to your wardrobe. They've used their classic 777 fit for the base model on these 721's for a classic tapered chino look. This chino twill was originally developed for the military and is now widely used in our industry. We're super happy with how the green came out. It's not really OD and it's not too saturated at the other end of the green spectrum - it's kind of like the goldilocks of greens. Plus, it's selvedge.

Made in Japan.
Iron Heart - 14oz Selvedge Denim Western Shirt - Indigo/Black.

There's nothing quite like the high contrast fades you get from Indigo/Black selvedge. The black sulphur dyed weft acts as a base layer for what many people consider shadow selvedge. When the whites start to pop through from the core of the yarn they come with indigo. It's one of the most incredible things in our world, and now we have it in one of the most incredible shirts we carry! The Western, with it's black permex snaps, is suited for this phenomenal fabric.

Indigofera - Limited 8oz Ryman Ohira - Indigo O/W.

The Ryman has always been a yes for us. The design is unique to Indigofera, as far as we can tell. It's a beautiful interpretation of a saw cut western. The one qualm people usually have with this shirt is it's stiff as a board. Traditional westerns were very starchy to start, so we think for the longest time they were attempting to mimic that. But, we always wondered if they would hit it with a "one wash." We often said, "I would have that shirt in my closet right now if it were rinsed." Well, they've finally done it and it's glorious.

We were lucky enough to be graciously offered a crack at this very limited edition of the Ryman. We're one of only 2 stores that are offering it, us being the only one in North America. The electric blue that pops off this indigo is incredible. The hand-feel on the Ohira after it's touched water is luxurious. And, all of those incredible details the Ryman is known for shine through on this beautiful fabric including a never before used tonal stitching. This is one of the shirts of the season.
Indigofera - Dollard Check Flannel - Blue/White.

We've fallen in love with the Dollard Check Flannel for this time of year. They roll out an incredibly loosely woven fabric about this time of year so that you can keep rocking long sleeve shirts even in the hottest months. This round, we've got this amazing blue combo that is such a bright pop of energy. This one is a blue/white combo that doesn't include indigo, so no worry about bleeding onto that crispy white check. The black/brass snaps might just be our favorite part of the entire piece.
Indigofera - 12oz Nash Slim Selvedge - Octan.

As the name Octan might indicate, the color of this denim is special. In certain lights, it looks green which would indicate a black denim. In others, you can see the blue pop. This strange mixture of blue and black is so funky and so unique that we can't see how anyone wouldn't want it for their collection. The tonal stitching with super subtle hints of color throughout, like the orange pocket stitch, make these very sleek. The color is really what puts us over the edge. If it has you guessing, it does us too. You're no alone in your curiosity on this one!
Indigofera - 13oz Kirk Straight Fit - 29 Handdip.

This is our first straight fit from Indigofera, and we're very excited. These were so comfy for the shoot. This thing is built to last with a beautiful hand dipping process to make it feel even more luxurious. The contrast stitching and interior double ticker selvedge will leave you feeling like you got even more than you paid for. This fabric is quite beautiful at first sight, but its true nature appears after its first wash. The crunchiness you get after this pair touches water is unrivaled. A little drink really wakes up the cotton and will help the fading process start even sooner.
Indigofera - 14oz - Buck Silm Straight Selvedge - Indigo No 9.

We've been obsessed with the No 9 fabric since its first iteration in the Fargo. It is seriously such a stunning selvedge in person. It simply looks and feels fancy, although you're staring at a fairly traditional heritage construction. They call this their Rolls Royce fabric for a reason. It's a fabric produced exclusively for IF in Okayama's prestigious Nihon Menpu factory. It's a narrow loom selvedge fabric that creates a tight, smooth feel making the white yarns of the weft nearly invisible on the face. The blend of oxford orange and gold stitching throughout also feels luxurious. You'll notice a deep navy arcuate that will remain color fast while the denim fades around it. It also has vintage details like the offset back belt loop. The little monkey stitch at the bottom of the pocket catches our attention every time. The Buck is a nice slim straight fit that just about anyone can wear. If we were to choose one fabric to wear from Indofera from now until the end of time, it would be the Indigo No. 9.
Studio D'Artisan - USA Cotton Tee Shirt - Yellow.

When we saw that Studio made tee shirts, we couldn't say no. This yellow color instantly caught our eye, and we knew they would be made to the highest quality standard with all those wonderful little artisan details. This is a classic side seam shirt with a fluffy American cotton. the tag at the hem ensures that you know where the cotton was procured!

Studio D'Artisan - 14oz Selvedge Denim Work Shirt - Indigo O/W.

This shirt was too iconic and too beautiful to pass up. The 14oz heavy-duty selvedge is rinsed to perfection so that it still feels heavy but breaks in and softens easily. We've seen million and one denim work shirts at this point in our tenure, but Studio seems to take the ordinary, and make it extraordinary. It's hefty to the point that you really know you're wearing something without being so stiff that you want to instantly take it back off. The red DARTI tag and the two-tone stitching are the icing on the cake of these denim masterpieces.

Studio D'Artisan - Takaido 53 Stations of the Aloha Shirt - Green.

When we think about Studio, we don't instantly go to Aloha shirts. But we should probably change our thinking because these guys can do anything. So they went above and beyond for an aloha shirt. This is how they should all be made. Multiple layers of blocks create incredible depth. The little pig pattern set to a traditional kimono art style is 100% Studio D'Artisan gold.

Studio D'Artisan - Noragi Sashiko Shirt - Black.

We have to admit, this was the first thing that drew us in with Studio D'Artisan. We saw this shirt and knew we needed to work with the brand. As you can probably tell, this isn't a Noragi Style shirt. The name derives from the days when people wore Kimonos as their everyday clothes. This ember color instantly caught our eye, and we knew they would be made to the highest quality standard with all those wonderful little artisan details. The 9913 is a loopwheel style with the craziest armpit seems, unlike anything we've seen in the past. The construction is pretty next level.
3Sixteen - Jacquard Vacation Shirt - Indigo Overdye.

3Sixteen has done it again, with more indigo this time. The Vacation shirt is a break from the traditional, classic button-down. The open-style collar boxy body inspires vacation-wear vibes of decades past. The real star of the show is this fabric. It's a heavyweight jacquard weave with a natural indigo overdye. This heavy feeling, gauze-like fabric is loosely woven with a pattern that exposes so much texture. The weave also influences the way the garment takes on the natural indigo. There are spots that are much more saturated than others - the lighter of those patches taking on an almost beige tone. They've christened this piece with coconut buttons, a left chest pocket, and a cross-back yoke. Of all the indigo releasing this season from 3sixteen, this fabric is the most impressive, hands down.

*Please note that each garment varies in color due to the saturation of natural indigo. Expect some indigo transfer.*
