Jackman - Dotsume Border T-Shirt - Brown

We have a real soft spot for border tees. We also have a soft spot for the brown/black color. The border tee is a bit different than some of the other fabrics even though it's made with the same USA cotton. This piece is knit in a way that creates a natural unevenness. It's likely to evolve and change throughout its life giving it a wonderful character overall. Its unevenness also helps it cling less to the skin (a major plus for the warmer months).

Jackman - Dotsume Border L/S T-Shirt - Dirty Dirty Base.

We have a real soft spot for border tees. We also have a soft spot for the dirty dirty base color. It's right in our off-white/grey/tan wheelhouse. It's really hard to put your finger on it. 3Sixteen - French Terry Zip Hoodie - Olive Garment Dye.

3Sixteen's garment dyed pieces are unmatched. Every year we're presented with new styles and colors and every year seems to outdo the last. This season the french terry zip-up returns in a nicely faded light sandy olive color. Because of the nature of the french terry and the dying process, this piece is super comfy with very little rigidity and a nice drape without sagging. Featuring a classic double zipper to open up the hem when zipped up and a comfortable and perfectly sized 3-piece hood.
Iron Heart - Ultra Heavyweight Loopwheel Cotton Zip Up Hoodie - Mustard.

We fell in love with Iron Heart's Ultra Heavyweight Loopwheel wovens last year...a love affair that continues for this zip version. The black has always been our tried and true in the pullover..so we decided to test our luck with some other colors. The mustard is simply bonkers with saturation. Theres also something so simple and iconic about that veg-tan two-way Universal Zipper. The silver breaks up the dense mustard fabric in just the right way. This fleece is as hardy as it gets giving it wind protection and a sense of outerwear vibes. It's the end-all-be all to ultra-heavy fleece in our opinion - the best there is.

Iron Heart - Ultra Heavyweight Loopwheel Cotton Zip Up Hoodie - Black.

We fell in love with Iron Heart's Ultra Heavyweight Loopwheel wovens last year...a love affair that continues for this zip version. The black has always been our tried and true in the pullover..but we think this might just take over as the leading seller. Theres something so simple and iconic about that veg-tan two-way Universal Zipper. The silver breaks up the dense black fabric in just the right way, and it allows for layer-ability as you see in the pictures. This fleece is as hardy as it gets giving it wind protection and a sense of outerwear vibes. It's the end-all-be all to ultra-heavy fleece in our opinion - the best there is.
orSlow - Loopwheel Crewneck Sweatshirt - Heather Grey.

Pleased is an understatement when it comes to the fact that we're working with orSlow. They've been on our brand "bucket list" for a while, so when we had a chance to see the line live in New York a few years back...we knew it was only a matter of time. The brand is everything we love - vintage-inspired designs with a modern branding approach and quality at the forefront of their ethos. It's all in the name, as they're the antidote to modern fast fashion...they do things slowly!

You say "loopwheel" and we're there. These are everything expected and more. They're plush on the outside and super soft on the inside with tons of texture. The ribbing is that orSlow quality we all expect. The character in this piece is in its simplicity. We're all about building better basics, and that's exactly what orSlow has done with the slow, loopwheel process. The raglan sleeve makes them fit so damn well too!

Dehen 1920 - Classic Cardigan - Goldmine.

We had a wonderful go with the one cardigan we were able to snag last year, and we've been hungry for more ever since. The best news is, we've got a special edition color. This "gold mine" shaw sweater was one we thought we wouldn't even be able to get our hands on. It had been used for special collaborations, and we were just in the right place at the right time for this one. This is a stand-alone piece that could be worn on its own, or paired with a less loud color. Their four-end heavyweight construction is unmatched. They use welt pockets, interior elbow patches, fold-back cuffs, and custom corozo buttons to create this look. These things use more than 3 pounds of 100% wool yarn. Don't expect to be able to beat this piece up. It will be around longer than you.
Jackman - GG Sweat Pullover Parka - 30 Heather Grey.

Jackman continues to impress us with every delivery. This round, we shifted gears into the world of mid-heavyweight sweats. This piece is as good of a sweatshirt as we've ever seen (and we don't say that lightly). The GG stands for grainy because this fabric has such character. Jackman - Waffle Mid-Neck - 145 Apricot.

For the same reason we fell in love with the watch caps, we fell in love with these mid-necks. They're made from the same waffle cotton. We've seen a lot of waffles in 8 years of James Dant, but nothing quite like this. This cotton has a fluffy, cushy, incredible natural stretch to it. You just don't see waffles like this without being packed with synthetics. We think this is what makes Jackman waffle so sought after. This is the shirt everyone knows from them! And some people own it in just about every color!

Freenote - 28oz Deck Sweatshirt - Olive.

We've been wearing one of these for over two years now, and it only keeps getting better. These are by far the heaviest crew neck sweatshirts we've ever put on. They're insanely well constructed and are probably the best in the industry. We love the updated tagging this round and the extra-long runoff on the v-insert. The neckline is set a little higher on the collar for these, which we find to be a great asset later down the road - that way you don't wind up with that stretched-out neck. They're an insanely good layering piece and at a price per pound weight that you just can't beat.

Warehouse - Lot 404 - Freedom Sleeve Sweatshirt - Heather Grey.

Warehouse & Co. has very quickly become one of our top-selling import brands for a reason. Their attention to detail and dedication to traditional construction is beyond the pale of comparison. We find ourselves diving into things like why they chose the style of tag or how one seam is built compared to another. That is the joy of this brand for us. Seeing conscious decision-making in the flesh from one of the best brands to do it in Japan since 1995.

We've been on a kick of comfy lately, and this piece is no exception. It is potentially the softest piece we've ever felt from Warehouse. The fleece ensures that. We've also found that a freedom or raglan sleeve is the best in terms of fit. It lays really wonderfully on the shoulder. This has a boxier 1940's style fit with longer ribbing in the hem and sleeves. The body of this piece is made on their iconic hanging knitting machines and the ribbing is produced on circular knitting machines.

Studio D'Artisan - Crewneck Sweatshirt - Kakishibu Dye.

This is the easiest purchase we've ever made for the shop. We absolutely love this color and it's a special kind of weave from Japan. If that doesn't get us going, we don't know what does. The persimmon dye gets to show its true colors on this woven. By all means, it's brown but in the right light...that orange cast pops like crazy. It's soft, it's got amazing tag work, and it has wonderful details like the v-insert and long ribbing. This thing is a win, win.
Iron Heart - Ultra Heavyweight Loopwheel Cotton Zip Up Sweater - Navy.

We fell in love with Iron Heart's Ultra Heavyweight Loopwheel wovens last year...a love affair that continues for this zip version. We were so excited to see the veg tan pull up initially thinking this was the hoodie, arriving late. Boy, were we surprised to see the stand-up collar! It's such a brilliant touch for people who want neither a crew neck nor a hoodie. It can be paired as a slightly more dressed-up option here, we think. But make no mistake, this 14oz woven is as rugged as anything Iron Heart makes.

We've seen our fair share of Warehouse knits at this point, but nothing like this. It's a crew neck with a collar retrofit after original production (hence the name.) These are fairly rare pieces from the past that would usually come with a wool hood addition. An all-cotton version is super rare. We've always been a big fan of the "Duck Digger" series too. This Bordeaux beauty has all the right things we're looking for in a unique Warehouse silhouette.

We've been on a kick of comfy lately. We don't think it's the end-all-be-all, but it's nice not to have to break something in every day of your life. Every once in a while, it's nice to let the company do it for you. This piece is built like the 461 Crewneck, but with a silhouette from a later time period. These things look like your dad's favorite sweatshirt that you always wanted to, or did, steal from him. The wider boxier fit, not as short body, and longer ribbing give them that perfect vintage feel. These bad boys also have raglan sleeves, which we think more pieces should be made with for a better fit. Add a hood, and we're sold. These are part of their "2nd Hand" series. Scope that beautiful tag work.

We had a wonderful go with the one cardigan we were able to snag last year, and we've been hungry for more ever since. The best news is, we've got a special edition color. This tobacco color has been one of our most requested of all time. It's a perfect smoking den color. This is a stand-alone piece that could be worn on its own, or paired with a less loud color. Their four-end heavyweight construction is unmatched. They use welt pockets, interior elbow patches, fold-back cuffs, and custom corozo buttons to create this look. This brown color is another wonderful taste of Fall. This one is like a perfect bar of chocolate. It pairs well with earth tones and even would suit a nice black moleskin Crissman. Their four-end heavyweight construction is unmatched. They use welt pockets, interior elbow patches, fold-back cuffs, and custom corozo buttons to create this look. This is Jackman's popular mid-neck paired with Laventham of Suffolk England. These guys have been doing it since 1949 and are the factory that produced the world's first nylon quilted horse rug. We think it's the perfect pairing for an upscale edition to Jackman's famous silhouette.

Jackman - GG Sweat Zipper Crewneck - 29 Charcoal.

Jackman continues to impress us with every delivery. This round, we shifted gears into the world of mid-heavyweight sweats. This piece is as good of a sweatshirt as we've ever seen (and we don't say that lightly). The GG stands for grainy because this fabric has such character. They use two different yarn thicknesses in the knitting process in their factory in Fukui. The decorative yarn creates a whole heck of a lot of texture that you'll feel from the get-go, and see especially well in the charcoal. The zip version of the parka features a two-way, heavy-duty Universal zipper. With all the amazing products we've carried over the years...we wouldn't be surprised if you're the most impressed with these.

This is a crewneck that uses domestic thick yarn and uses GG fleece that has both thickness and softness. The back is not brushed and can be worn for 3 seasons. The milling cutter (rib) also uses two threads to improve durability - a cover stitch over a grounding stitch. The hoods are also tailored to maintain a voluminous and beautiful silhouette. The back is raglan to eliminate the sharpness of the shoulders.

Jackman - Dotsume Pullover Parka - 133 Solid Gray.

Jackman continues to impress us with every delivery. This round, we shifted gears into the world of mid-heavyweight sweats. This piece is a wonderfully unique pullover with buttons at the collar and the same ribbed style cuffs as the mid-neck waffles. It has to be one of the most unique knits we've ever laid eyes on. It's fantastically dense like all of the dotsume pieces from Jackman.

A sweatshirt that uses the original degree-stuffed fleece that is knitted to the utmost limit, taking advantage of the hanging knitting machine that the degree is evenly clogged. Although it is thin, it has a firm feeling, and it is characterized by being less likely to shrink or distort even after repeated wearing and washing (we can confirm this from personal experience). Considering the ease of movement, they have adopted an integrated three-dimensional pattern and a loose silhouette from the triangle gusset under the armpit to the armpit body.

The Lot 455 sweatshirt is an OG version of your best zip hoodie, but now this can replace it. A surged, double-needle top stitch runs throughout the seams. With these being circular knit loopwheel sweats, you won't find any seams along the side or in most places with ribbing. But, in the places, they're needed they chose the best seam for longevity. There's ribbing throughout this piece including inside the hood. The brushed inside is something you'll notice right away on these low-tension wovens. It is done by one of the very few machines left in the world giving it a feeling, unlike anything we've seen before. Plus, you get that beautiful tea-colored interior on the brushed side of the fabric. This Sumikuro color is not going to last long. We might just buy them all ourselves (swoon).
