Sweaters & Sweatshirts

Jackman - Waffle Armored Mid-Neck - 39 Cork.

For the same reason we fell in love with the watch caps, we fell in love with these mid-necks. They're made from the same waffle cotton. We've seen a lot of waffles in 8 years of James Dant, but nothing quite like this. This cotton has a fluffy, cushy, incredible natural stretch to it. You just don't see waffles like this without being packed with synthetics. We think this is what makes Jackman waffle so sought after. This is the shirt everyone knows from them! And some people own it in just about every color!

This is Jackman's popular mid-neck paired with Laventham of Suffolk England. These guys have been doing it since 1949 and are the factory that produced the world's first nylon quilted horse rug. We think it's the perfect pairing for an upscale edition to Jackman's famous silhouette.

Made in Japan.
Jackman - GG Sweat Crewneck - 29 Charcoal.

Jackman continues to impress us with every delivery. This round, we shifted gears into the world of mid-heavyweight sweats. This piece is as good of a sweatshirt as we've ever seen (and we don't say that lightly). The GG stands for grainy because this fabric has such character. They use two different yarn thicknesses in the knitting process in their factory in Fukui. The decorative yarn creates a whole heck of a lot of texture that you'll feel from the get-go, and see especially well in the charcoal. The zip version of the parka features a two-way, heavy-duty Universal zipper. With all the amazing products we've carried over the years...we wouldn't be surprised if you're the most impressed with these.

This is a crewneck that uses domestic thick yarn and uses GG fleece that has both thickness and softness. The back is not brushed and can be worn for 3 seasons. The milling cutter (rib) also uses two threads to improve durability - a cover stitch over a grounding stitch. The hoods are also tailored to maintain a voluminous and beautiful silhouette. The back is raglan to eliminate the sharpness of the shoulders.

Jackman - Dotsume Pullover Parka - 133 Solid Gray.

Jackman continues to impress us with every delivery. This round, we shifted gears into the world of mid-heavyweight sweats. This piece is a wonderfully unique pullover with buttons at the collar and the same ribbed style cuffs as the mid-neck waffles. It has to be one of the most unique knits we've ever laid eyes on. It's fantastically dense like all of the dotsume pieces from Jackman.

A sweatshirt that uses the original degree-stuffed fleece that is knitted to the utmost limit, taking advantage of the hanging knitting machine that the degree is evenly clogged. Although it is thin, it has a firm feeling, and it is characterized by being less likely to shrink or distort even after repeated wearing and washing (we can confirm this from personal experience). Considering the ease of movement, they have adopted an integrated three-dimensional pattern and a loose silhouette from the triangle gusset under the armpit to the armpit body.

Lot 451 - Loopwheel Raglan Freedom Full-Zip Hoodie - Oatmeal.

Warehouse & Co. has very quickly become one of our top-selling import brands for a reason. Their attention to detail and dedication to traditional construction is beyond the pale of comparison. We find ourselves diving into things like why they chose the style of tag or how one seam is built compared to another. That is the joy of this brand for us. Seeing conscious decision-making in the flesh from one of the best brands to do it in Japan since 1995.

The Lot 455 sweatshirt is an OG version of your best zip hoodie, but now this can replace it. A surged, double-needle top stitch runs throughout the seams. With these being circular knit loopwheel sweats, you won't find any seams along the side or in most places with ribbing. But, in the places, they're needed they chose the best seam for longevity. There's ribbing throughout this piece including inside the hood. The brushed inside is something you'll notice right away on these low-tension wovens. It is done by one of the very few machines left in the world giving it a feeling, unlike anything we've seen before. Plus, you get that beautiful tea-colored interior on the brushed side of the fabric. This Sumikuro color is not going to last long. We might just buy them all ourselves (swoon).

Dehen 1920 - Shawl Sweater Coat 2.0 - Charcoal.

We haven't been able to get these Shawl Sweaters back in stock since they absolutely disappeared last year. This beauty has been on our list for some time. The charcoal is full of heathered texture and looks quite wonderful with the waxed elbow patches. Their four-end heavyweight construction is unmatched. For the 2.0 they use patch pockets, exterior elbow patches, fold-back cuffs, and custom corozo buttons to create this look. These things use more than 3 pounds of 100% wool yarn. Don't expect to be able to beat this piece up. It will be around longer than you!
Dehen 1920 - Shawl Sweater Coat - Brown.

We haven't been able to get these Shawl Sweaters back in stock since they absolutely disappeared last year. The best news is, we've got a special edition color. This brown color is another wonderful taste of Fall. This one is like a perfect bar of chocolate. It pairs well with earth tones and even would suit a nice black moleskin crissman. Their four-end heavyweight construction is unmatched. They use welt pockets, interior elbow patches, fold-back cuffs, and custom corozo buttons to create this look. These things use more than 3 pounds of 100% wool yarn. Don't expect to be able to beat this piece up. It will be around longer than you. Sad news is, they're sold out on their website...the fantastic news is, we are launching a full-size run!
Peregrine - Wool Moore Cardigan - Navy.

They got us with the stripes. We love the combo of navy and gold, as you probably saw from our last sweater release, and this version gives you a bit more tame option. Flare, without being over the top. The Milano style of knitting throughout this piece is technical in a way you can only get with hundreds of years of experience. Wool cardigans made in Manchester...it doesn't get any better than that. Give your wardrobe a nice twist of nautical with this beauty.

Knickerbocker - Two-Tone Crew Sweatshirt - Black, Forest.

These are some of the nicest sweats we've seen from Knickerbocker in some time. The fleece is super soft and the material really hardy. In the past, they've had more that terry cloth feel that we're used to. This round they've mixed it up a bit with the fleece. We love the two-tone nature of these. The black and forest version is much more contrasting for a good subtle, yet colorful pop. The fabric blocking and wonderfully structure make them unique enough to make us want another sweatshirt in our closet, full of hoodies.

Corridor - Floral Alpaca Crewneck - Navy, Gold.

The softness in the sweater is simply through the roof. It's so incredibly comfortable that we didn't want to take it off. It also has a wonderful modern motif of sunflowers that will stand out in a crowd. The navy ribbing serves as a nice pallet cleanser to hold in the flowers. This classic crew will instantly become one of your warmest, most worn pieces in the closet.

This sweater is made in partnership with a woman-owned and operated workshop in Lima, Peru that is focused on paying fair wages and creating a good working environment. Corridor has worked with the team in Lima for about five years and visits the workshop once a year for design and production. The yarns are sourced locally and are focused on alpaca blends.
Dehen 1920 - Shawl Sweater Coat - Tobacco.

We haven't been able to get these Shawl Sweaters back in stock since they absolutely disappeared last year. The best news is, we've got a special edition color. This tobacco color could not be more Fall. It's so rich and so sharp and we imagine it's gonna be gone in hours, if not sooner. Their four-end heavyweight construction is unmatched. They use welt pockets, interior elbow patches, fold-back cuffs, and custom corozo buttons to create this look. These things use more than 3 pounds of 100% wool yarn. Don't expect to be able to beat this piece up. It will be around longer than you!
Iron Heart - Cotton Knit Crew Neck Long Sleeved Thermal Sweater - Black.

We've had incredible luck, personally, in the past with Iron Heart's thermal gear. It's, per their standards, some of the highest quality thermal in the game. They also give you nice little details like the runoffs on the sleeves and their signature tag work on the base near the hem. This one is pretty straightforward, but something we think most of you will find yourself wanting in the wardrobe as the cooler months settle in.

Peregrine - Hudson Stripe Crew Neck Jumper - Navy, Yellow.

The Hudson jumper has been a part of the family here at James Dant for some time now. When we first brought in the green, we couldn't even keep it in stock. Throughout the years we've seen many beautiful colors, and carried just about all of them...but never have we seen one as unique and amazing as this. The bright yellow stripe is a perfect contrast to the deep navy wool. This wool is one farmed and produced all within a 60-mile radius in Manchester. This is one of those pieces, and there have been quite a few of them in our tenure, that we remember for years to come.

The stripe knit always gets us. We are really diggin this blue/white combo. This is one of the densest fabrics we've ever felt, yet still soft. It drapes super nicely even when it's tight like in the pics. It will easily keep you warm all winter long meaning you can think of this piece as a thermal. We snagged two options this round, both easily worn as an outer or under layer. Scope the beautiful woven tags at the collar and hip.
