Benzak - 5oz Organic Cotton Selvedge Chambray Work Shirt - Red.

The BWS-01 has been good to us. The fit is good and the fabric selection is always top-notch. This round, we've gone with another chambray but in red this time. It's a perfectly unassuming shirt until you look at all the Benzak details. We especially like the triple needle stitch runoffs on this piece.

Benzak - 12oz Ecru Selvedge - Slim.

Ecru denim will always hold a special place in our heart. It's a great color for Spring and Summer, and most importantly goes with everything. You know what we men when we say Indigo is an obsession, but it doesn't always pair with everything. Ecru allows you to wear all of those denim tops you've been neglecting. Benzak's is an extra soft 12oz denim with a little bit of natural brown seed and a red ticker. It has the secret left hip pocket, and all the custom Benzak details on the hardware and tag work.

Benzak - 11oz Tapered Military Selvedge Chino - Indigo

We had to double down on the 11oz military selvedge. There's something about a plain white selvedge line that resonates with us. It must be the vintage military inspiration from which this fabric was designed. It has a bit of sheen to it that gets knocked down after break-in which, let's be honest, won't take long with a fabric this soft. The blue is a nice bright color best compared to petrol. The fit is also pretty great on these. Nice and tapered but not too slim in the top block. Overall, we think this is a perfect addition to a denim head's wardrobe for those hot summer months.

Benzak - 11oz Military Selvedge Denim Overshirt - Indigo.

The last round of these in Military Green went so quickly we barely had time to ogle it while it was at the shop. The cut and fabric were too damn good to deny for most. It's the power of the fabric story. This time, they've gone with an incredible 11oz denim fabric built to mimic military denim. It has a sheen that wears off quickly and lands on the petrol side of the indigo spectrum. We find that we love Benzak more and more with each piece that arrives. They do everything right. The fits are always spectacular. And, they pay attention to the details in a way that we look for in brands. This shirt/jacket style overshirt is the next one to knock your socks off.

Benzak - 9oz Utility Shirt - Wabash Indigo.

You know anytime we see a wabash shirt, we have to snatch it up. The BW-02 has been really good to us in the past. The fit is spot on and Benzak always chooses and incredible fabric to pair with the immaculate construction. This time, it's a mid-weight 9oz fabric just enough weight to let you know it's there, but not so much that you'll feel bogged down. They don't cut corners on their fabric selection. It has all those things you know and love from bigger brands including the fact that it's a selvedge indigo dyed canvas. It also has those utility shirt double needle runoffs. This is an incredible wabash that will fade like the best of them.

This fabric is also a custom check design in this sunny yellow & blue made in the flannel capital of the world - Portugal. It's brushed on both sides and is actually a pretty dense weave making the fabric ultra-soft but really sturdy.

Benzak - BDD-516 - 18oz Super Slub - RHT.

Another made in Japan pair has made it down the pipeline. The 18oz fabric is incredibly crunchy and Benzak's heaviest to date. It's also their slubbiest - a truly remarkable fabric. They like to think of this as their 16oz RHT fabric on steroids. The truly amazing part of this fabric is that it has a much lower tension than its counterpart, meaning it has a much easier break-in. This also adds to its uneven, irregular structure that you can truly see on the inside. This fabric is packed with indigo, almost to the level where it looks black, and it's going to look so beautiful when you break it in. From top to bottom, this pair is milled, cut, and sewn in Japan.

It has all of the details we look for on the level of customization we only dream of. This is the culmination of ten years of friendship between two of our most beloved brands. It all starts with the signature baby blue Benzak inseam. The next thing that catches our eye is the dual Ivory Coast and Japanese selvedge IDs. This is definitely a Japan Blue standard, but you'll also notice many of Benzak's "Special" pairs have dual-color IDs as well. You'll also see Benzaks signature coin pocket as well as many, many other details. The 16.5oz Cotton Monster Selvedge is a texture wonderland, and it speaks for itself.

Everything from the cotton cultivation to harvesting is done by hand; this benefits the cotton fibers as they are rarely damaged, creating a super-high quality base for this heavy-weight fabric. Because there are no pesticides used or no modification is applied, this type of cotton is considered ‘closest to original’.

Benzak x Samurai - BDDxSam-01 Regular/Tapered - 19oz S.w.o.r.d Selvedge - Indigo

Wow! We did not think we would be the only shop in America (and the Western Hemisphere) to get access to this denim...but here we sit. We've got 12 pairs of some of the rarest denim in the world. And, it lives up to the hype. This denim is hairy, crunchy, and structured. It's everything a denim head loves and more. This fabric is known as the Silver Lurex denim and its selvedge ticker represents a katana samurai s.w.o.r.d. The bumpy, uneven rope-dyed fabric will age impeccably. we have proof of it's fading potential in the picture below. Benzak has added some custom touches including their signature left pocket and icon on the back pocket. You'll also notice a hidden Samurai tag in the back left pocket. You're looking at 19oz high tension woven cotton here, so expect some absolutely phenomenal creasing and fades. They've hit it with a rinse for ease of break-in and more importantly allow an unsanforized fabric to be way less volatile. Hidden rivets will ensure that fading is happening in the background only to reveal itself later down the road. This denim is a hidden treasure waiting to be discovered.

Benzak - BDD-516 - 16oz Heavy Slub RHT.

When we knew we had the option to grab some Made in Japan denim from Benzak, this was our first choice. If we had to choose one weight of denim forever, it would be 16oz. And, you already know we love slub. These have so much texture that you would rightfully expect from Japanese denim. On top of that, they have all the extra details listed below you usually only see from Japan. The double-needle indigo stitch on the top of the back pockets and the hidden single needle along the inseam are two of our favorites. That's because they are details that only reveal themselves as the denim ages and fades. You also can't deny the 100% brass buttons and rivets. And, pocket bags. My goodness, the pocket bags look and feel amazing. Keep in mind, even though this is a 16oz denim, it will break it much quicker than your standard heavy slub denim. The left-hand twill will ensure that. Overall, it's one of the best pairs we've laid hands on in some time. They're pretty phenomenal.
