1102G - 12oz Sweat Denim Selvedge Pants - Gray

This has been quite a long time coming. We've been dancing around Full Count for many years and finally cleared up some space to bring them in. Full Count is a Japanese denim brand that kicked off in 1992, founded by Mikiharu Tsujita. They're all about using Zimbabwean cotton, which is hand-picked and has super long, strong fibers. Full Count was one of the original "Osaka 5" denim brands, helping to fuel the Japanese denim craze in the late '80s and early '90s. This now makes 4/5 for us! Fun fact: the name comes from baseball—when the batter’s got three balls and two strikes, that's a "full count."

This hard-nosed brand is known for its hardy fabrics, so it's only right that we snagged the softest pair they've ever made for our first. Haha. These are called the "Sweat Denim" because they are as soft as sweatpants while still looking like a pair of selvedge. The heathered denim is insanely gorgeous. They've also earned this moniker because they're produced with the same yarn that's usually used for sweatshirts. Because these are produced on antique power looms, the process is long and painstaking. To top off their softness, these go through a bio-wash process to bring out the raised bumps in the yarn. Fit Notes: Shop owner Tommy is wearing a size 33 in this 1102 Fit. It's a straight cut with plenty or room in the top block. These are another one where it's really only important to get the waist right. The rest will fall in line. Based on the measurements, we recommend you size up once from standard size, or buy what you normally wear from Japanese brands. Tommy is 5'10," 165lbs, with a 32-33" waist.
