3sixteen x Chup Socks - Indigo, Pink.

We can't say no to these. Two of our favorite brands teaming up is a dream come true. We're so happy they took the Chup technology and made some unpatterned styles. This first combo of Indigo and Pink is simply gorgeous.

Each sock is knit with two different colored yarns whose placement and paneling are different between each sock in the pair. Each sock is made on Chup's vintage sock-knitting machines, and all heels and toes are hand-linked for a seamless finish.

3Sixteen - CPO Shirt - Black Overdyed Sashiko.

Coming Soon…9/2/22 at 12am EST

I think if we could smash a couple of words together to get some people excited it would be CPO and Sashiko. Doesn't that just sound good? Now, freak that with a black overdye. It's bonkers. Just madness. These things are absolutely packed with Indigo. Honestly, some of the heaviest bleeding we've ever seen...which only gets us more excited. These are a fader's dream. The vertical sashiko lines will fade differently than the soft cotton fabric itself. The indigo will shed and crock creating this beautiful blueberry blue color with time. This one will have more of a shadowy fade than the regular indigo. The CPO is an overshirt style designed with a nod towards vintage naval officer shirts. The buttons are a natural replica BDU with a ton of indigo pickup from the get. This fabric, like all of 3Sixteen's designs, is woven specifically for them. It's a double layer with a lofty, airy feel. This round is also dyed with Natural Indigo vs synthetic, which we find to be the best fading out there.

3Sixteen - Crosscut Flannel - Charcoal Twill Plaid.

The Crosscut Flannel is yet another staple from 3Sixteen. Every year we sit around and wonder what they'll cook up this time. Now that they've built their stronghold manufacturing in India, they can create custom wovens like this heavy Crosscut. The Crosscut gets its namesake from the signature crossed-back yoke. They've included enamel-coated metal buttons this round that will patina and chip over time. This one was a little taste of fall for which we've been impatiently waiting. This Charcoal Buffalo Check style fabric is a super soft heavy-duty plaid. It feels smooth but gives you a similar weight as the Indigo predecessor this season. These are slightly heavier than the previous two.

Crosscut Flannel - Dijon

3Sixteen - Crosscut Flannel - Dijon.

This right here is what we've been waiting for all season. The crosscut has always been this super stiff, hard-to-break piece that looked fantastic but really took dedication. Well, with 3sixteen's shift in manufacturing, they've been able to produce a crosscut that is not only soft and comfy but constructed to the same level as the previous model. That simply wasn't possible in the US because of the lack of access to proper washhouses. It really is incredible what they can do with fabrics in India. We're fully on board when we feel fabrics like this beauty. They've of course got the iconic cross-back yoke and angled pockets. The enamel-coated buttons have also made a recurrence. We just keep getting smacked in the face with incredible pieces all around, and these are some of the best yet.

They've included enamel-coated metal buttons this round that will patina and chip over time. This one really surprised us in person. The mixture of black and blue and the depth of indigo within the checks is something you'll be blown away by. And it's insanely soft from the brushing on the exterior. Also, scope the inside. It has a wild vertical stripe.

3Sixteen - Crosscut Western - Stonewashed Denim.

We're so used to seeing the crosscut flannel in a heavy-duty flannel. This time, they've hit us with an absolutely gorgeous stonewash that truly turns this 10oz Japanese selvedge from a "stiff break-in" to an "everyday wearer". Inspired by Wrangler of old, it has all the classic details of the crosscut with the traditional styling of a vintage western. You'll notice roping on all the finished seams and classic pearl snaps. The crosshatch back and unique chest pockets are the Crosscut details you've grown to love. This is one for the ages.
3Sixteen - Drawstring Pant - Charcoal Wool Gabardine.

The drawstring pant has quickly become a staple this year. It's the go-to pant for anyone looking to break the mold. If you have been selvedged out, these pants use all the same quality construction principles but are nothing like a five-pocket pant. They have a super fun fit that almost anyone can get on board with and they lend to a variety of fabrics. This one, in particular, is a wool gabardine which you simply have to see in person. It has a smooth texture and beautiful drape while being built for the cooler months. These are such a cool pant with a comfy fit that we don't see ourselves being sick of them any time soon.

3Sixteen - Drunk Chess Vacation Shirt - Black.

We've been smacked in the face by incredible vacation shirts this year, and the hits just keep coming. It's a little wild that this shirt arrives just a few weeks after the historic running of the Indy 500, our hometown claim to fame. We may just have to save some of these for the next one. But, ultimately this piece is all about the wavy vibes. It's called drunk chess, and we imagine a few of you have seen a chess board a bit like this after a few too many sips of bourbon. These heavily saturated prints are an incredible feet of all-over screening. It's no easy feat to not only get such a pure screening but to also get everything to line up in final production. This is the best part of 3sixteen's manufacturing shift - the ability to absolutely blow the competition away on lightweight garment production. You've already proven you're obsessed with this Tencel fabric, and for good reason...It's truly the perfect summer weight garment.

3Sixteen - Floral Leisure Shirt - Sand.

We were super grateful to see these new lightweight prints coming from 3sixteen. They went and found the depth and beauty of hand-blocked prints done so phenomenally in India. The layers of color are something you find yourself asking, "How did they do this?" For this summer, you don't need a top button, so they removed it entirely drawing inspiration from vacation shirts from the '50s. We've never seen one quite like it because, of course, 3sixteen put their own beautiful twist on it. The poplin fabric is a tight, uniform weave that has the slightest amount of texture for which Indian fabrics are known. The icing on the cake is those natural coconut buttons we all love so much. The black is especially our favorite. Don't tell the sand.

3Sixteen - Garment Dyed Long Sleeve T-Shirt - Faded Pink.

The Heavyweight Pocket T-Shirt from 3sixteen has been a James Dant staple for years now. However, this is our first venture into the long sleeve tees. In this round, we had to go with both. Expect NO shrinkage on these. We've wear-tested, washed, and even dried these to ensure that they hold their shape. It's one of the things we love so much about them. The pink was on our radar from the beginning. It's in a lot of ways 3sixteen's color of the season. It's a perfect pink to us. Not too pastel, not too hot...but somewhere right in the middle.

This tee's material is cut and sewn in San Francisco, CA in the same factory where 3sixteen's jeans are made. The tees have a triple needle coverstitched never-sag collar that stays tight around the neck over extended wear.

Each tee is crumpled and then indigo dyed by hand, which gives the shirt a greyish-blue hue with beautiful color texture and inconsistency up close.

Gloverall x 3Sixteen - Quilted Contrast Monty Coat - Black.

You know by now that we love a good collab. This round, 3sixteen has teamed up with the infamous Gloverall. They couldn't do anything other than the Monty Duffel. It just wouldn't be right any other way. This legend of a piece is what you think of when you think "Duffel Coat". It's probably because the company that formed Gloverall started buying duffel material directly from the Navy after the Second World War. They've been doing it ever since. What once started as form and function has, like many, become a fashion icon. So, it's only natural that 3sixteen would want to put their spin on it. They started with a beautiful black base and then put a little twist on it. You'll notice the patch pockets are navy blue. They've also given this classic look a more modern feel with all-black accents. There's this beautiful little snap closure in the center that gives you the option to wear your jacket closed, but not fully closed up. It's quite a wonderful little accessory. They finished this baby off with a quilted shoulder pad that we think completes the entire look. This contemporary take on a classic is a great way to start winter!

Heavyweight Pocket T-Shirt - Black.

Wow. This one is really hitting us in the feels. It's been years and years since we first bought the 3sixteen Heavyweight pocket tee. So long in fact, that the previous version feutured the original brand logo. Well my friends, I'm here to tell you that the shirt has been reborn. This time, with a much more flattering fit. The heavyweight tee was once our perfect fit...but just like style, we've evolved and need something with a little roomier. These land a little more in line with the Pima tees we've grown to love, especially after one wash. The fabric is the same, deliciously heavy weight you're used to on all the garment-dyed pocket tees we've carried over the past few years.

3Sixteen - Jacquard Drawstring Short - Indigo Overdye.

3Sixteen has done it again, with more indigo this time. We weren't sure we'd ever get back into the shorts game, but we're fully in it. This drawstring jacquard short is a perfect summer companion. The real star of the show is this fabric. It's a heavyweight jacquard weave with a natural indigo overdye. This heavy feeling, gauze-like fabric is loosely woven with a pattern that exposes so much texture. The weave also influences the way the garment takes on the natural indigo. There are spots that are much more saturated than others - the lighter of those patches taking on an almost beige tone. The drawstring aspect makes getting the fit right on these so much easier.

*Please note that each garment varies in color due to the saturation of natural indigo. Expect some indigo transfer. Wash cold by itself on the first few washes.*

They've christened this shirt with coconut buttons, a left chest pocket, and a cross-back yoke. Of all the indigo releasing this season from 3sixteen, this fabric is the most impressive, hands down.

Khadi Block BD Shirt - Earth

3Sixteen - Khadi Block BD Shirt - Earth.

This Khadi block shirt is another example of why we're so in support of 3sixteen's new direction. This is something we would have never seen from these guys because it would've jumped the price by an immense amount. Also, the level of seamstress work on this is through the roof. The ability to stitch directly on the edge of a seam like this and its importance in keeping the structure of a lightweight cotton garment is incredible. We think they got these just right. It'll be a perfect shirt to carry you through this journey from hot to cold, that we can never manage to put a tack in...80° to 50° in 24 hours, and back again.

3Sixteen - Leisure Shirt - Indigo Discharge.

Last year, when 3sixteen started utilizing production in India with their beautiful lightweight fabrics, they really dished out the vintage-inspired leisure shirts. They clearly learned from their successes and have delivered what might be the best reproduction leisure shirt we've laid eyes on.

This round is made from a breezy Indian cotton and dyed with natural indigo. As 3Sixteen owner, Andrew, describes - India was the first major indigo production center and as such, Indian indigo has different qualities than its more common Japanese counterpart. The natural dye on this piece is a lighter shade of blue than traditional Japanese indigos, which tend to be deep and violet in nature. To create the wonderful mid-1950's bubble pattern, the shirt has been discharge printed. Discharge is a translucent ink that lifts dyes from cotton fabric (similar to how bleach). This means that the pattern doesn't add any bulk or affect the flowiness of the shirt, as it is simply removed from the dye rather than added. The shirt has been garment washed to remove any potential shrinkage as well as begin the fading process for a wonderful broken-in look and feel.

Finally - 3Sixteen's unique collar design is based on a mid-century Italian open-collar pattern, a nice break from the more common camp collar design. This thoughtful touch seals the deal on this shirt for us. It reads as a subtle reproduction of what would have been a luxurious leisure piece in the early 1960's. Now, get out there and enjoy the beautiful weather.
