4555 - "Tasogare" Heavyweight Flannel Shirt - Indigo O/W

$ 310.00

Studio D'Artisan - "Tasogare" Heavyweight Flannel Shirt - Indigo O/W

Studio D'Artisan has a look. We may not be able to describe it in words, but you know it when you see it! This season, they surprised us. We did not expect to see this type of shirt from them, and for us...that makes it an easy piece for the shop. This is a proprietary Nell Check flannel fabric that's hardy enough to stand up to any of the Pacific Northwest heritage brands. It has this gorgeous indigo rope-dyed fabric that they've labeled "Tasogare" which is derived from the phrase "Who is that?". Since this phrase was used at dusk when it was nearly impossible to recognize someone's face, it soon became related to the color of the night sky. It's a stepped-up, or grown-up version of the classic red buffalo check shirt. But the beautiful part about this version is its cotton! Usually, they're itchy and impossible to wear close to the skin. Not this baby. It's super versatile.

Fit Notes: This, being a shirt vs a jacket fits a little more true than its jacket counterpart. Tommy is wearing a size 40 in this version and it fits really well. We recommend buying yours true to size. He is 5'10," 165lbs with a 40" chest, and typically wears a North American Medium (38) and Japanese Large (42).
