IHSH-356-GRN - 5oz Selvedge Madras Check Work Shirt - Green
Iron Heart - 5oz Selvedge Madras Check Work Shirt - Green
Madras has always been hit or miss for us, but we really, really dig this version. It's got just enough of a wild color and subtle pattern that it doesn't feel overdone. It feels more unique like something Iron Heart would choose to make. The other unique part about using a Madras fabric is that they're always super light. This baby only weighs in a 5oz which is the perfect weight to wear through the summer. This is the kind of shirt you can actually roll the sleeves up on because it's not so thick. We think it really suites the work shirt silhouette!

Fit Notes: Shop owner Tommy is wearing a large in this piece. That's his typical Iron Heart size nearly across the board in shirting. Whilei the work shirt runs a little roomier than the western, he still finds sizing up once to be his best fit. If you're not looking for a trim fit, please size up! Tommy is 5'10," 170lbs with a 40" chest.

The term "Serge de Nimes" derives from the word for fabric in the Nimes region of France. These shirts are known for their texture for a reason. Made on Vintage 60's Era sinker knitting machines, these puppies have no side seams. This John Gluckow collaboration tee has a smaller ribbed collar than the 4601, but is built in a similar manner. It truly is unlike nearly anything else on the market. The single yarn knit creates an incredible striation that will age and mold uniquely as you wear the shirt. The hand feel is super soft but you get a texture similar to what we look for in our denim. And, for anyone who has never had a chance to get a bigger size, John has specifically had them build XXLs on almost all his collab goods.
