IHSN-01-BLK - 21oz Non-Fade Denim Low-Top Sneakers - Superblack
Iron Heart - 21oz Non-Fade Denim Low-Top Sneakers - Superblack
Sometimes you have to wait longer than you want for a good thing. The return of these sneakers was that good thing. In the meantime, we've nearly sold through their indigo counterpart...but we knew that everyone was also waiting for the superblack, non-fades. These things are as slick as they come and made with all of the Iron Heart quality at a trusted factory in Kurume (one of only three doing vulcanization in Japan). Moonstar makes, in our opinion, the best traditional sneaker in the game. So of course Iron Heart went to them with their iconic fabrics to produce customs. The super black non-fade is a super interesting concept with a sneaker too, because even canvas fades with time. It will be interesting to see just how long this black stays superblack.

Fit Notes: Shop owner Tommy wears an 8.5 in Chuck 70 Hi. He wears a 9 in almost all Vans. He wears a size 8 in redwings. For these Iron Heart sneaks, he's landing right at an 8.5. They fit very true to a Chuck for Tommy.

Denim
These bad boys were a shot at nostalgia for us. They bring us right back to the 90s. After we got the jacket, we couldn't stop ourselves with the pants. You can do a full coverall painted kit if you want. And this time, we really wanted the paint splatter. We had such good luck with the first round of these, we thought, "Why not give it a shot?" And they're done so tastefully that they become a pant everyone wants to rock. These have all of the classic features including that left-hand loop for your hammer and a slot on the right for many other tools. The massive pockets and subtle arcuate only add to the wonderfully fun nature of these pants. And, they're soft as all get out. This is a true workwear fit with enough room to do almost anything.
This is the pant for which we've been waiting, for two reasons. The first is that the G3 denim is fairly unmatched. It's made on a past generation's machine that is fickle and hard to work with. It creates incredible loom chatter that has to be managed by the mechanic working on the machine. Sometimes it goes off the rails and he has to reign it back in. This basically equates to as close to "handmade" as possible without actually being done on a manual machine. It's full of texture and character that is known to fade spectacularly. The second reason is the fit. We've kind of been pigeonholed into relaxed tapers and slims for a minute, and we were so excited to get something with some room to breathe. And these do that. They've got a killer name anyone can get behind and a fabric that's sure to look incredible a few months down the road. This is the one pair everyone should have their eyes on. It's chock full of details listed below.
It's become a bit of an annual tradition that Naked & Famous releases a natural color selvedge. The ecru season has begun, and this season is a really nice rendition. It's at a perfect crunchy weight that shapes to the leg without being too heavy and hot. 14-16oz is really our comfort zone for a jean that you really know you're wearing, yet it doesn't take 6 months to break in. The fleck of the seeds in this natural denim adds a ton of natural character to a pair that has no dye. And on top of all of it, it's organic cotton which is by nature softer and gets comfier than a standard selvedge. The green ticker is for sure the icing on the cake. We think they choose a color combo for this ID that will be remembered for years to come.
