Supply Jacket - Indigo River Wash
RGT - Supply Jacket - Indigo River Wash
We did it again! We dipped into the well once more for this incredible once-in-century-good jacket. When done right, as this piece is, it pays homage to the traditional & vintage world we admire as retailers and designers. The process to get these so beautiful is an RGT secret, but trust us, they did it right. There are individual details for endless hours of lusting over these jackets. The feel of the fabric and the subtle aging in all the right spots makes this look like a jacket your dad wore for 30 years while all the structure of a RGT piece remains. We continue to reorder these because they are truly one of the best denim jackets in the industry. Rarely do we keep anything in core stock these days, but this has to be the closest to us trying to accomplish that. We would love for everyone to own and know the true beauty of the River Wash Supply Jacket.
One of our favorite things about this jacket is the silhouette they chose. It's not just a classic type III. They went with their more contemporary Supply Jacket and it creates an enigma of a jacket. Normally this piece comes in waxed canvas, and changing it up with a river-washed denim has set the denim world ablaze. This will not last long. We know we say that a lot, but there is evidence. Everyone sold out of this on the last release. Literally everyone!

Fit Notes: In the past, we found this jacket to fit a bit roomier than the other supply jackets. This round, it's more true to its Supply Jacket namesake. If you buy a medium in all other Supply Jackets, stick with that. If you're looking for the roomier fit these had in the past, you're going to need to size up once. Tommy is wearing a large in this piece which is one size up from what he owns in a previous iteration. It seems to fit about the same. In this size, there is plenty of room to wear a layer underneath but still looks good when worn with just a tee-shirt. We would recommend most people size up once from their normal size. Tommy is 5'10", 170lbs with a 40" chest.

Hawaiian Shirt - Ice Tiger
The Hawaiian tiger shirt is forever going to be a Japanese icon. This proprietary fabric Freenote locked down seems to impress year after year. The mixture of the indigo-dyed linen and that gorgeous tiger print is truly perfect. It's such a rich, royal color of indigo and it gives the instant impression of a white tiger. They've finished this beauty off wtih mother of pearl buttons.
The Alamo Shirt - Tiger Heron
The Alamo is a staple for us nearly every year. When they introduce new colors, we all collectively get a little giddy. This year's central color outlier color is this Tiger Heron. It's a wonderful shade of red that's not too in your face. It is kind of the classic red mechanic shirt color you just know when you see it. The corozo nut buttons always give the piece a nice pop of contrast and the construction never fails. The 1/8" single-needle stitching lends to this military-style silhouette. Luckily, this time you can grab the sturdy but soft cotton Alamo in a color that will hold up for a lifetime.
We really, really love the Dotsume pocket tee...but we know they're not for everyone. It takes a lot of effort, and just the right temperature to put on a tee that heavy. When we first laid our hands on the lighter-weight, USA cotton version of it we knew that it carried the same quality in construction and fit, but a more versatile fabric. This pigment process adds so much character to the shirt and is a special edition for SS23.
This version of the pocket T-shirt is made from cotton which is mainly produced in the cotton-growing area of the Mississippi River basin in the United States. Air spinning produces a cotton fluff with a length of 13 mm to 33 mm which then becomes yarn by centrifugal force. This creates a crisp texture. They also feature traditional details from the 1890s including the oversized pocket and W stitching. The flash gusset on the bottom of the pocket is a special specification that's meant to reduce sweat from moistening the inside of the pocket.

If you're looking for the densest pocket tee on the market, here it is. We've had tees from some of the hardiest manufacturers out there, and they don't hold a candle to these Dotsume tees. They honestly blew us away. This type of tee shirt makes you purge all the weaker, lower-quality versions from your closet. This round, they partnered with the infamous Lavenham for the pocket detail. It's a wonderful "techy" upgrade to give the shirt an even more contemporary feel. They're pretty damn cool in person, we must admit.
A collaboration model completed by the UK's leading factory brand "LAVENHAM" and the Japanese factory brand "Jackman" focuses on each other's strong points. It is a collaboration of factories for more than 50 years, in which brands are connected by diamonds polished from rough stones. This is a combination of Jackman's unique Tianzhu material and Lavenham's unique quilted pockets.
