Naked & Famous - 15oz Greencast Slub Selvedge - Weird Guy
We were over the moon to get our hands on this extremely limited run of Greencast Slub Selvedge. If you recognize this beautiful fabric, kudos because it's been nearly a decade since its last release as part of the Made in Japan series. It has been their most requested denim since, because everyone loves a greencast. This hue is accomplished by adding a bit of green dye to the batch either just at the beginning or just at the end of the process. It creates a bit of a lighter, less indigo-dense fabric that is easy to see upfront. The real green comes out as the pair fades revealing a gradient of color. Probably the other reason these were so popular is that slubby texture was created by using uneven yarns in the weaving process. This yarn also has loose bits we like to call fleck. You'll see both natural and indigo flecks popping galore on this pair. It's pretty much the trifecta of goodness for the indigo-heads out there. They've finished this pair with copper hardware, subtle contrast stitching, and a tobacco selvedge ticker. It's truly one of the pairs of the year, and there are only 300 of them made worldwide. If you want 'em, grab 'em early.

A variance of +/- 0.5" (1.27cm) is within tolerance.
Fit Notes: Tommy is wearing a size 33 waist in these. He has been wearing this as a standard size in the Weird Guy, and it seems to work across the board. Obviously, he has a bit more room because of the waist and rise of the Weird Guy. They fit with a bit of extra room in the waist this time, which he would probably feel fine with after the first wash and with a belt. For the weight, he would gladly allow the waist to form around his body over time. Better to be safe than sorry on a denim this heavy. We would recommend you size up at least once from whatever you normally wear. Tommy is 5'10", 175lbs with a 33-34" waist.
