Indigofera has been making the softest and best blankets in our industry for a long time. These are all made in Norway in the same family-owned factory that's been open since the 1940s. We find people hang these more as a work of art than for personal use...but don't get it twisted. These are made for the long haul.

This collection is a true retrospective of Indigofera's work with Bjorn Atldax over the last 10 years. He has created a unique iteration of every blanket previously produced for the "Skull Project". These are extremely limited and each blanket is numbered from 1-60. This was very hard to get our hands on as only so many stores could carry it. Turns out we're the only shop in North America that received them. The New Year is a fantastic time to release this dazzling Skull Project blanket anniversary series.

The Skull project sunk its hooks into us long ago, and we can't help but fall in love with the utter beauty of every iteration. Björn Atldax has done it again with yet another incredible piece of artwork centered on the skull. The Kappa is an amphibious yokai demon or imp found in traditional Japanese folklore. Kappa live in the ponds and rivers of Japan. It has a cavity in its head that retains water or some sort of liquid. That liquid is Kappa's power and life force. Yet a mischievous trickster and a demon pulling other living creatures underwater to drown them, Kappa also protects the ones who befriend it. Kappa love cucumber. If you write your name in a cucumber and throw it in the river where Kappa lives, then the Kappa will not attack you or your family members. That is also why the sushi roll containing only rice and cucumber is called "Kappa-maki." Because Kappa is obsessed with politeness, it is said that one can defeat Kappa by making a deep bow as Kappa will return the bow. And when it returns the bow to you, the liquid in the cavity of Kappa's head runs out and the Kappa loses it magical powers. We hope to find these wrapped over the back of a couch and used often, but we wouldn't blame you in the slightest if you hung this on a wall like a royal tapestry.
